Description Maligno

They are the Philippines supernatural beings, some are folklores ( like Tiyanak and Manananggal ) and some are proven like the White Lady ghost that I even witnessed and see it 2 step away from me.
They are Negative and evil spirits scattered on rural and uncivilized places.

List of beasts from top:
1) Tikbalang - an enourmous human like beast with a head of devil horse.
2) Manananggal- a cursed human transform in a winged demon torso.
3) Kapre- a big hairy fellow with a skin of an old tree. ( trademark is tobacco smoker )
4) Tiyanak- an small demon imp pretend as a toddler.
5) Nuno- an extranatural pigmy creature possessed magic.
6) Laman-Lupa - they are naked and skinny pigmy and they are belongs to dwarf species.
7) Aswang- a cursed human feast on human flesh and they had ability to transform on any animal ( mostly big wild boar )
8) Santelmo- a spirit with appearance of ball of fire.
9) White lady Ghost- a female ghost always wear a white long dress ( the face is always hidden )
10) Impakto- a Black dwarf that can bring curse and aggressive than a normal dwarf.

Santelmo?... hmmmnn he was seen many times on rural places or provinces in our country. i also witness to see one of them... 3 meters away from me.

This is excellent.
I love the composition and its 1890's print-like design.
Like it was drawn in one of those books where the heroine goes to her uncle's vast library because her brother received a devastating bite from an unknown entity to find an answer and this was in that specific page where she finds the truth about the bite. Or something like that.
It's epic.

Ya you should be! It's so original! we Filipinos forget our native culture quite easily as we enjoy foreign and contemporary things - this serves as a reminder of our rich Filipino culture.

Yes i agree with you, suddenly most Filipinos likes american or European but the Japanese-Manga got in craze... they used kawaii, neko, baka etc... ( japan is not heaven )

Bwahahaha! True - the Japanese culture sure is fascinating. I personally would like to visit Kyoto in the near future! It's admirable how they preserved all their castles and other historical monuments even after the world war in 1940s. Makes me wish we Filipinos had that kind of respect for our culture, too! Sana na-preserve man lang natin yung mga dwellings of our ancestors before the Spanish occupation.

Me, too! I think I'll give the Tikbalang a try! Let's make this an unofficial movement!

We only preserved ruins here... so sad for Bataan and Open City (manila)

Wait ko yun plan mo na yun at picture posted.

Workshop namin dito?.. sa Angeles City, near NLEX, angeles exit. nafeature kami before sa Jessica Soho. ....at hindi ka pa nagtour dito sa Pampanga? hmmnn... someday drop by ka dito, sayang sana nung Hot Air Baloon Festival ka pmunta.

Yes, count on me sa pag-visit sayo jan! Hahaha! Wow! Na-feature ka na pala on TV - Fantastic! Kasi naman gusto ko talagang mag-tour jan sa inyo - so many sites to see, things to do: caves, animals, sculpture, furniture, food, fruits, architecture etc. The last time I was there, 2 hours lang. We had to go back home right away because something important came up!

i dislike how you have defined each creature like they're just similar to western mythological ones, but then again, I can't think of other ways to describe them in english..teehee! Otherwise, the artwork is phenomenal!!! Have it in my faves!
