Description
This is an oil painting I did a couple years ago for a friend who I fell out of contact with, so she never aquired it. Good thing too 'cause I've had a hard time giving it up.Anyway, the scan really messed with this one, after scanning a picture I took of it. If anyone has any brilliant suggestions on how to get a more faithful transition from canvas to the screen, let me know, please.

this is stunning. so much movement and depth. you did a really good job on the perspective and fore-shortening. from the thumbnail, i thought it might be a photograph.
it is really hard to do justice to an oil painting with a picture. it is so hard to get the texture and detail. this still looks great though.

this is really impressive. proportions are great as well as colors... its hard to get such detail in facial features but you did a really splendid job of doing so. i should try oils one day...

Yeah, the scanner doesn't do the painting justice. But I can still see how great and beautiful this piece is. The woman looks wonderful. The background is okay, but doesn't really matter. The woman is the focus and she looks beautifully painted.
