Very cute. I love the idea of a cartoon lion and lamb as a couple.

The characters of Rudyard Lion and Woolma Lamb were part of the 1980s-era "Get Along Gang" greeting card and toy product line that was for general retail merchandise promotions and sales and were not intended in a religious context. Just a group of 14 animal kid characters forming a club of friends even with their species (read: ethnic backgrounds) differences.

Fun cute funny animal characters.

Thank you.

Rudyard Lion and Woolma Lamb are often drawn sitting close to each other or doing activities together in the "Get Along Gang" storybooks and greeting cards. Just carrying on the tradition.

^^

also, thereΒ΄s the original soulrce from it on the Book of Isaiah( depicting it as an imagery of peace - when the lion and the lamb would be together ); still, those ARE cute characters together, and you got the cartoon style very well!

Yes...I am aware of the Biblical reference as well.

I suppose that was in the creative mindset in the original creators of "The Get Along Gang" when they decided on two of them as being a "close couple" within the group of furry kids. Unfortunately, Rudyard Lion did not appear prominently in most Gang toys or storybooks so his personality and background didn't expand more than "being a foreign exchange student and being very quiet." Woolma Lamb was featured often in the Gang tv cartoons and merchandising as an aspiring ballerina with a prima-donna, fussy attitude who does put her friendship with the other Gang kids first and foremost. There was never an official explanation on how they first met and what was their attraction to each other.

The Gang product line did not promote a heavily religious theme although the characters did observe Christmas in a storybook.

Friendship among the different animal species (read: people from different ethnic groups and with varied personalities and backgrounds) was the primary message of the idea back in the 1980s.

They deserve a good revival...either officially or in some fan's hands...like mine.
