Actually, Hallowe'en has become a lot more popular here in England in recent years, I never saw kids trick-or-treating in London when I was that age, but now all the kids in our area go out with their parents just after sunset for several hours of trick-or-treating around the side streets.
Our family's Hallowe'en tradition has always been to keep all the the lights off on October 31, and pretend to be out.
