Great photo! I really like the atmosphere what the ash creates.
We had similar situation in Finland some years ago. Though we didn't have any fire, the ash came from volcano eruption from Iceland. But we did have the similar atmosphere like in this picture

I remember the eruption of the volcano. I saw it everyday on the TV news, and it was incredible! So I understand what you mean about the atmosphere; I'm sure it was quite similar to the one I saw after the fire.
