Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my friends on dA! Wishing you safe and happy holidays and a 2011 filled with happiness, joy, and all the great things you wish for. And thank you for your friendship. 
I drew my tomte on a sheet of paper this morning in biro, then colored the scanned image in Corel Painter for a change. This one is not a part of the Sketchbook Project.
The magic of childhood is the fresh eyes that see wonder and joy in everything around them. Tomte, being from the Nordic region, is used to plenty of snow, but she still has fun trying to catch a snowflake on her tongue. ^^
It doesn't look like I'm going to be having a White Christmas -- it has been a warm and mild winter so far. (I feel lucky that I can still go to the tennis court on a regular basis though. ^^)

Now the beautiful painting. I just love the perspective, her cute little face turned up to catch the snowflakes is so endearing. And as with all your work, so beautifully painted.
We wont get a white Christmas either, it rained today and was very cold (41 degrees at 8pm) and it isn't suppose to rain tomorrow but it will be just as cold. Oh well, I wont be going anywhere so I can handle it. Be safe if you travel, and have fun!
