"It's come to my attention that you don't know who I am. I am Hela, Odin's firstborn, commander of the legions of Asgard, the rightful heir to the throne and the Goddess of Death!"I just love Her! She was perfect ! After watching movie I knew that I must draw her but because of many things that pilled up I could do it only now...sooo after many many hours something around 40-50 hours she is done ^^
(maybe I love her so much because she resembles a bit my Aisza

In movie when Hela was fighting Surtur she summoned rocks from the sea which had glowing green veins...I thought this could be good theme for background (in first version I wanted to draw Asgard behind her)
My bf says that this green rocks looks more like from World of Warcraft game xD

She is well worth staring at - they did a great job of taking the old Kirby-style design and making it work! It could have easily come out looking silly if they had messed up ...
I'm going to see Black Panther with friends this afternoon. Hopefully they pulled off that one as well as they did Thor: Ragnarok!

That's true and they made Her look truly epic ^^ Funny is that by most of the movie she had to imagine that she is in Her costume because her headress and cloak was added in postproduction

I hadn't known they didn't at least have a mock-up of her headdress ... My admiration for her acting just went up another notch.
Black Panther was pretty good, but unfortunately we could only get seats in the front row. That made it kind of hard to follow some of the action scenes ... our angle wasn't good. I think I'll like it even better when I see it on my home TV screen at an angle that doesn't give me a neck-ache! I rather liked that the main villain was complex, and actually had some good reasons for doing what he was doing.

Yes, watch it again because this movie deserves that ^^
I agree that villain was complex, I think his reasons was really good - better than reasons of most villains in that type of movies.
But for me best were women there - they were rocking this movie

*laughs* I can see that - the only reason the comic-book version of Hela can get away with that headdress is that she has Asgardian-strength neck muscles. Even so, she could give herself whiplash by turning to see who was behind her.
We saw Black Panther the premier weekend, which in retrospect was probably a mistake - the only available show left didn't let out until 10:30 PM, so we got home rather late. Worth it, though!
And I definitely agree on the female characters. In too many comic book movies they feel like add-ons or tokens. Iron Man movies get Pepper, Avenger movies get Black Widow, but there is just one female character ... The Black Panther movie had a bunch, and they were all very different and interesting characters. It was definitely very cool!
Hopefully there will be more Black Panther movies in the marvel movie universe!

Well she could use it as weapon in close combat when lots of enemies is near her - she just need to turn around

I could see that ... put some edges on that headpiece and it could be lethal when rotating. Still, that could also make it rather dangerous to your own hands if you got an itch on your head. Scratch a nose, lose a finger ...
That's good news about the Infinity War! I'll look forward to it too ... their track record is remarkably good so far (they're not all as good as Avengers 1, but IMO all of them have been at least enjoyable, and some of them have been truly great!).

Steve Irwin and Hela would be a good team-up ... she would be very amused by the fact he wasn't the least bit scared of her, and just kept on talking about how her pet wolves were "beauts". I'd watch this show too!
Now, how to convince Marvel to produce it ...
