Issue 3 of Spider-Man: Life Story came out just recently...and man does Marvel enjoy fucking Peter Parker's life. From Aunt May being senile just for cheap pathos when she should be dead, to being a dick to his wife, Mary Jane, and absentee dad because his "responsibilities" as Spider-Man and C.E.O. of Parker Industries are greater than the ones he must take as Peter Parker, the man. To make matters worse, he willingly kept the Venom symbiote after studying the suit he acquired from the Secret Wars event, crawled out of his grave because of the creature (blending the Last Hunt and Venom somewhat diminishes Peter's will to live), and his wife left him with their twins (knowing Marvel, they would pull something from their asses); leaving Peter Parker alone with his aunt (feels like reading Spider-Man: One More Day).
I said this once or twice (maybe more), but here it is. Andrew Runion, Quantum Spider-Man is the superior life story of Peter Parker; and Chip Zdarsky, and Marvel Comics can eat their hearts out for shitting on Peter Parker!

They lost me when Peter was a protester in the 60s.

70s: Flash Thompson is dead; Peter Parker working with Reed Richards (then a falling out leads to unemployment), and married to Gwen Stacy (except she was revealed to be a clone); Mary Jane comforting Peter because of such loss of happiness.
80s: Parker Industries; the Venom symbiote acquired in the Secret Wars; Peter Parker pushing himself in not only running his own company but also taking care of his senile Aunt May, and providing for his wife, Mary Jane Watson-Parker, and his twins, Claire and Benjamin; a compressed take on the Last Hunt (Venom did the digging out); and MJ moving out, taking custody of the twins, because of her husband's inability to take actual responsibility.
By the 90s up to the 6th issue, expect "What the fuck?!?!" to come in your mind.

If Aunt May were alive to see her grandniece when she's still learning to crawl (accidental double meaning), I bet she would be happy.

If Uncle Ben and Aunt May first meet each other during the Depression era, how old would they be? I just despise the damage the floating timeline has done to characters with origins connected to specific events in time.

They could easily have met prior to the depression. If we say that Ben died in 1962 at age 70, he would have been 20 in 1912.

Wow. Marvel or any comic book industries need to get their timelines and aging functional and flowing with real life time...

They have to start doing what Marvel Studios did and make May younger (in her late 40's-early '50's), the same way Archie Productions made Fred Jones and his wife younger on Riverdale.

They will never allow May to die, because she is the one that raises Pete as a teenager, and is his rock as an adult. And making her younger should've been done already, not super-aged and decrepit (this was also done to Hilda and Zelda in the Sabrina TV show [the one starring Melissa Joan Hart]-both were made to be in their mid-to-late '30's/early '40's.) People don't age like they used to, and May should reflect this.

Then you are unfortunately blinded by the likes of Joe Quesada.

Blinded or not, a decrepit May Parker taking care of a teenager is (now) a foolish idea, and then some.Β Casting Marisa Tomei as May (or even, heck, Molly Ringwald, who plays Archie's mom on Riverdale) ids an idea whose time has come.

What's even more foolish is keeping her alive and deaging her to fit under modern narratives. It's best if she stayed dead because she's holding back her nephew, who in the main continuity is an actual adult with the mentality of a teenager because of Marvel's unwillingness to actually take responsibility.

Normally, I'd say, yeah, May should die, but Marvel won't budge on that, so what was done by the movie division in making her a youngish middle-aged woman in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home was a smart move (although I'm amazed at DC Comics killing off Alfred recently in the Batman comic books.)

Just how stupid are you in wanting to keep Aunt May alive and rejuvinated? You must think it as some blessing when it mainly cursed Peter Parker into some stunted man-child whose marriage and daughter are wiped out of main continuity!

And with life comes death. Keeping her alive is just going to hold Peter Parker back.

Until the next reboot, when May will come back into his life, and Peter will be a teenager again for a while.

And then the senseless quota goes nowhere.
I'm guessing you must be an idiot who's pro-One More Day with keeping Aunt May alive, yes?

I guess you must be a sucker for having Peter Parker make the deal with Mephisto to save his constantly dying aunt against her will.

Speaking of which, does Aunt May learn at some point her nephew is Spider-Man?

In my mind, she has known for a long time, but wonβt burden Peter with worry for her safety by letting him know.

No. Everyone underestimates Aunt May, but she's a smart, kind woman of faith, who cares far more for her nephew than for herself.
