Description Last year I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to work on a dragon book for Scholastic by way of Becker&Mayer Books. I got to take a crack at designing 16 different mythical dragons from all over the world for a book called Sink Your Teeth Into Dragons.

Boy this one was fun. I was given some reference to Thai Nagas, which I had never heard of prior to this project. They have a serpent body with like 5-9 heads or something like that so I thought it would be very cool if they all sort of shared a mouth. This is an idea I definitely want to expand upon in other design, so flippin' cool. Those teeth sure were a pain to paint under that tight deadline though. You'd think I'd have learned by now but nope, ambitious design ideas to a fault.

Yes but Thai mythology is not called naga as in Thai naga is seen the same as siren the same as a few other mythology’s and if u doubt this I’d like to mention that I do work with mythology

Could be but I think the description is a bit wrong for that though but good idea. Also could be jormangunder in appearance but they don’t have multiple heads.

Never thought I would see this kind of representation of a Naga.
I had read and heard a few minor mentions to them and seen mostly just variants that looked highly similar to a Hydra with multiple heads, but this puts a whole new twist on things.
Nicely done and great work!
