When just reading one page once a week when the new one comes up, it's hard to keep up the mood for it.

I can't help but wonder if Kuma really is dead, and if the info was actually tortured out of him. I refuse to believe anything before I see the body!!
I'm also wondering what the black stuff on Kuma's body was all about. Doesn't seem like something that'll never get resolved, so I have a feeling Kuma is still alive. Maybe the guys who Hielo overheard weren't even talking about Kuma but Inabe. I just can't figure this stuff out yet, argh!
Really interesting stuff, this is like a murder mystery now, heh.

They didn't seem that...grieved by Kuma's "death", to be honest. I mean, the very thought that they "messed up" with him just now comes up after pages of their first concerns being that the sword is missing and Kuma has it? Even while they were "grieving", the very first sentence uttered in relation to him was "How did they know he had the sword?"
I feel as if Kuma's "death" is played out like the death of a background character that's not seen often in a story, which in itself is sad. I feel like the heroes could at least say things they realized about Kuma, himself (how he threw himself into danger for the sake of his friends) but instead, they put on a pity party for themselves in relation to themselves and not anything to do with Kuma's actions or will.
I feel the worst thing about it though isn't that, but it's the fact that they're not grieving over how they willingly basically ignored him while he was suffering and even let him alone depressed and poisoned in the mouth of the cave. They're just upset that they "let him go into danger" despite him being a fully grown adult who knew what he was doing and was willing to do it all.

There isn't a 'right' way to grieve, and not everyone shows grief with screaming and gnashing of teeth and all that. Some may seem very subdued, but that isn't an indication of what they feel inside.
Also, they never ignored him. CY talked to him, and he asked for space. And obviously one of them went to check on him first thing the next morning, hence knowing he was gone in the first place. I think they did everything they could while being distracted by Motyl's situation and respecting his desire for alone time.

No one implied either of those things. Please don't put words in my mouth. 
They did ignore him. They left him to be depressed at the mouth of the cave and only CY came to talk to him, yet very easily gave up and left him alone at the cave mouth (repeat: cave. mouth. Basically outside the safety of shelter) without insisting she stay and watch over him in the state he was in. She didn't even try to tell him that she was worried about his rear end turning black. She made a tiny, as-vague as-possible attempt but very, very easily gave up on even bringing it up when Kuma misunderstood her vague dialogue and got sadder. She didn't insist she talk to him or even give him space while still watching over him. Then, no one else in the entire cave who wasn't even occupied with Motyl offered to watch him or insist Kuma be comforted.
They completely left one friend in need in order to watch another friend in need (and already covered) sleep? Then, there's the fact that not all of them were even watching over Motyl, so could have been asked to watch over Kuma, who was equally in need of having eyes on him through the night, not just one time at night and one time in the morning. Who the heck would do something like that if their friend was poisoned, had just done something insane and completely out of character to them, and was expressing absolute doubt and hopelessness in a manner that implied they were truly depressed?
Motyl was one person and was alive. There was an entire group of friends and there is no excuse for how careless they were when Kuma was at his lowest. The issue isn't that they had Kuma get into danger, it's that they showed little to no care, little to no determination, to help Kuma when he was at his lowest point, which is the one thing that could have easily prevented Kuma's supposed death.

I know, I know. She is sad and depressed and etc but seriously... what's the point on saying this? Nothing is going to change except for your teammates mood (for worse)
I'm not saying this is Arv's "bad script" or anything like that whatsoever. Don't misunderstand me, please
Besides, I have to disagree with you there miss C.Y. Kuma did all of he did willignly. He did it because they wanted the same as the rest of you. It's not like you FORCED him to put his life in danger against his will or something. And that sword is not a "mere object" if you ask me, that's precisely the reason Kuma risked his life to keep it safe. The demons are a threat and if that thing is on their hands shit is going to hit the fan very hard. To protect everyone is the kind of reason for which is worth to risk your life. He did it. And taking pleasure now in "we failed" is to not honour what Kuma did
You only lose when you give up. And you can't give up now or Inabe (and Kuma's?) deaths will be meaningless. So cut it out, break the 4th wall, pay attention your writer's advice and take the only way possible: go up right now all of you guys!

CY, I WAS EXPECTING A PEP TALK FROM YOU. A SPEECH ABOUT HOW THERE IS STILL HOPE AND THEY CANT GIVE UP. I actually like this a lot better than what I was expecting. 8D I have always loved how CY is not just "a main character/hero/ect" who always knows the way and all. She loses her way too! She has more doubt than a lot of the other Heroes, and I always loved characters like that a lot more. It's the whole "true bravery is when you are afraid/doubtful/ect and still do the thing anyway". There is a proper phrasing somewhere, just not in my comment. XD
I really can't wait to see what happens next hehe. >u> Also don't think I didn't catch u, Arven. I saw what u did thar. "The lowest our heroes have ever been" versus "the lowest they will ever be". Yeah, uh huh that's right I caught that YOU CAN'T HIDE IT FROM ME. XDD
