I love the subtle geometry in this piece, it ties in well with the narrative that seems to be implied by the knife.

I go straight to the colour, I like to pick the colours.
Both work from grayscale and from colour have pros and cons. The work from colour is more similar to the traditional painting so its always good to know how to do this.

I definitely find myself preferring the more traditional feeling in digital painting and that explains a lot and certainly shows in your own work. Your shadows and light just have such great depth.
