Description
The Oak King rules the waxing half of the seasonal year, the fertile summer months of growth and greenery.Every Summer Solstice he battles with the Holly King ,who wins ,and rules over the dark,cold months of winter....only to be beaten once again by the Oak King at Winter Solstice......so goes the eternal cycle of birth,death and rebirth in nature.

No stock used except my own photographs,about 24 layers in all.

Special thanks to Fraser from Rowardennan in Loch Lomond who kindly posed for me in his woodland cloths. The celtic wooden carving are his own handy work, so is the stone throne he is sitting on.
