that unfortunatly illustrates exactly why I haveto watermark everything. people steel and dont respect the artists work. It really pisses me off

I don't think it's a matter of respect. ofcourse they know that you did a great job. That's why they like to use it for one of their manips. But most of the people who make manipulations (like me) only do this on a horsegame. Most of the people there are just some kids around the age from 12 to 17. So the most of the times can't afford it to buy art. Or can't use paypal and that stuff.
I totally understand you're feelings. I found out the same problem. I made a website for my uncle. Someone else has taken it over, and says now that SHE designed and scripted it-_- Totally pisses me off too, she messed it totally up too... But well.. I think you did a great job on you're work! Keep it up like this

Hi! l just" love "your site, especially the enchanted images and all of the myserious looking ones. But,why do they have to have the "DEVIANT Logo" on all of your pictures? So that no one will copy them? l, for my own personal use, collect, burn to a cdr , various pictures from different sites to create my own family greeting, holiday cards. ls there anyway that l can see your pictures that you have wihout the logo on them? l don't have any site to show anyone else, this is just for me. Could u please get back to me on this, asap...

I'm afraid you have just stated exactly why I have watermarks on my images! I am not doing art for a hobby, it is my job and income....the work that puts food on my table and keeps a roof over my head! By useing other peoples artwork for free ,even for your own use, you are doing some poor artist out of some income! By all means send your own artwork to friends and family, but just imagine if everybody used my artwork for free...I would not make a living!
