im gonna try submitting this to the fan art section of Sonic Comics! >u<ITS THE ONE AND ONLY, SALLY ALICIA ACORN!
A key character within the Sonic World.
She does not appear in any Sonic games except for a small bonus stage in Sonic Spinball for SEGA Genesis. She first appeared in the very first issue of Sonic the Hedgehog and even managed to snag a role in the hit tv series, Sonic SatAM (if you havent heard of it GO WATCH IT NOW.) Sonic SatAM stuck very closely to the comic book series, which is why i love it so much. Characters like Rotor, Bunnie, and Antoine can only be found in the comic books, and Sonic SatAM. Sonic Underground and Sonic X dont follow the comic book at all. D: but i still love sonic underground <3
ANYWHO getting back to Sally, MAJOR SPOILER ALERT.
In the 25 years later Arc, (in the comics) Sally gets Married! To Sonic! this made me so happy. Especially because their kids are named Sonia and Manic (Sonia and Manic were characters created in the tv series Sonic Underground to be Sonic's brother and sister) SONIC UNDERGROUND REFERENCE? i think YES.
Anywho, just recently i was readin Sonic #225--very exciting stuffs happenin' in this issue omg--Sonic and Sal are in the Death Egg (LOL), Sally runs into this hallway to find some buttons or something while sonic fights a giant robot of himself WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN A GUN POPS OUT OF THE WALL AND SHOOTS HER. (all you hear is blam blam blam you dont actually see it) AND THEN SOME CRAP HAPPENS AND EVERYTHING GOES WHITE AND EGGMAN'S DRINKIN CHAMPAIGN. AND SONIC RUNS TO WHERE SALLY WAS, FREAKIN OUT. ALL YOU SEE ARE A PAIR OF BROKEN GOGGLES (which Sally was wearing) AND A SILHOUETTE OF A HAND.
AND THE ISSUE ENDS.

Sally may be a princess, but she sure isn't a damsel in distress. And the pose you picked for her in this picture shows the extent to which she's willing to fight.
I like Sally's tomboyish nature -- she's probably the only girl in the series who could get away with wearing only a vest and boots (notwithstanding her recent redesign with full outfit). And I like the bold colors used on this drawing.

Yeah. Well. They're actually RPG games. xD You can watch them all with english subtitles on sotetAG's profile on YouTube eh. There's RomaHeta, which is discontinued forever.
Then there's HetaOni, though it's on hiatus because of all the things going on in Japan since the earthquake... Damn, I love HetaOni. They're stuck in a house with some kind of monster, that kills them all one after one... And they have to figure out a way to survive, and get out.. ALL of them. Yeah. <3 poor Italy, is all I have to say
And of course HetaQuest... Italy and America gets sucked into some sort of book, and end up in another reality. The first chapter is Italy's chapter, second chapter is America's chapter, and 3rd chapter is unknown.. xD Hauuu! Italy has to pretend to be Feliciano, who died, and poor Lud... He'll be heartbroken when he finds out...

and actually sega owns all rights to sonic so they receive money from archie,but to be truthfull there fake except to the archie franchise, AKA sally fans. I did everything I could do to find out if those comics are real,but since sega owns all rights anyone who earns a lot of money for doing something with sonic or someone who just does something with sonic. first they get permision like archie did,then they agree to give sega some of their earnings,and its really stupid cause all sega is doing is making their fans angry at one another,actually sega was going to get rid of sally all in all but some of the only sally fans,protested and I was like whyyyyy?! we was almost rid of her,but NOW they are gonna ax a lot of sonic characters and redo the whole game theme from startof course the games still happened but, there gonna try it a different way so they might get rid of sally. woot ^^ sorry for the length of the message and if you are indeed a sally fan.

the comics are real, i own them lol if you want me to tell you what issue numbers they are i can. Sega owns rights to sonic yes, but they mainly stick to the sonic games. archie has the whole other characters in their comics and sega has no intentions to bring any of the characters into the games D: and i am a sally fan myself yes lol

Actually, Sally was made by Sega of America in 1991 as a gender-bent Ricky for the Sonic Bible that was the catalyst for the Western canon (nevermind that creators Oshima & Naka conceived Sonic as a Western property akin to then-rival Mario, anyway), so in saying Sally =/= Sega, you fail. This is even more especially true when you realize that even SatAM is itself, by extension, Sega's. Whilst it is true that DiC animated the show, the credits state outright that all "Characters & Names are Licensed from Sega of America Inc. (c)1992" [ [link] ].

Sega of America created the Freedom Fighters--or at the very least, Sally (as initially nothing more than a gender-bent Ricky with a bow)--in 1991 for the Sonic Bible [ [link] ], which was one of the primary catalysts for the American canons, so in that respect, you need to educate yourself more on the franchise.

Hey, it is not my fault you might not have realized that Sega of America created Sally--nay, the American canon in general--2 years before Amy's officially recognized in-game debut (which was, itself, after SatAM began to air on TV), a year prior to the cartoons & comics, and a few months before the release of Sonic 2 (which partially explains Tails' lack of major contributions in SatAM, since that show was initially conceived prior to AoStH being given the greenlight a mere few days before it). Me, I'd rather be more educated about stuff I'm a fan of. Otherwise, I'd come off like an idiot in discussions.

The point remains that haters ought to back off on pieces promoting/praising things they know they hate. Going onto something they know they hate simply to bash is stupidity at its finest. Very rarely is the opposite true, but in certain cases, just because something can be done doesn't mean it should be (ex: hate art & kill art, both of which breeds more hate & causing flames to spread through an already split fandom). People should exercize knowledge & intelligence before they post anything, because after all, we wouldn't want to offend anyone, would we?

Exactly, she does. Recall that SoA just remodeled a Ricky template & turned it into Sally, so really, she does exist in Japan to an extent.

Actually, she does. Again, she was taken from the Ricky template & your friend knows of Ricky, I'm sure, since that species of squirrel is the type rescued in the first few Sonic games [ [link] ]. Sally is the American name for the Ricky species, but in particular, one squirrel from that species, as per the Sonic Bible [ [link] ], just like Pocky & Rocky became Johnny Lightfoot & Joe Sushi (later to become Bunnie Rabbot & Boomer/Rotor Walrus, as well). This figure [ [link] ], also dated 1991--the same year of the release of the Sonic Bible--proves that Sally & Ricky are synonymous. The promo comic made by Sega of America that same year also gives us more of a femenine Ricky-Sally, since she now has a bow in her hair [ [link] ]. This was the form also seen in Sonic The Comic [ [link] ], which also gave us the concept that would become Grounder of AoStH [ [link] ]. After her pre-SatAM design [ [link] ] & her initial pilot look [ [link] ] that was seen in early Archie Sonic issues [ [link] ], DiC just animated her into her more recognized Western form [ [link] ] that's a fixture within the DiC cartoons & that which is seen to this day in the Archie Sonic comics [ [link] ].
