They're kind of a captivating subject, aren't they? I discovered them last June, and within a week I was gathering all the materials to make my costume. : ) And there's so little information on them. The mystery is so attractive!

I know! I just like the way they skew the definition of doctor. I'm guessing that during the plauge they were more like quarantine officers rather than healers. I still need to do some real research on them though.
