It had been two years since she was shipped to New Domino City, and she had seen too much of the bright city's grimy underworld to be as spirited as she once had been. When she was in The Enforcers, she had a dream to make The Satellite a better place. The duelist refused romance until she knew any family she could have would be safe there. However, New Domino City made sure that their prostitutes could never have children, permanently; scandals for their rich were too inconvenient for their posh world.

Valda had been through too much to face Yusei as the girl she was before, but he wasn't the same person either. Now he had trackers embedded into his face by Sector Security and Jack's betrayal shook his resolve. As time passed, more and more of The Signers' dilemmas weighed heavily on his heart and he just couldn't face it all with the same confidence he always had.

After the Fortune Cup and slipping away from her patron, the violet haired woman managed to make contact with Jack and demanded that he take her to The Satellite. They arrived just in time to see Kalin and Yusei's duel. The physical and mental recovery was taxing for Yusei, but Valda promised to be there to support him always, kissing him for reassurance. This scene takes place right then, when Yusei finally can break down and take a moment to face the guilt and despair he feels to his very core.
