You know those kids at that age are horribly curious. Hell, some kids watch explicit material by the help of the web and their parents weak passwords. However, YouTube is one amount dozens on these places to watch videos. Nevertheless, he's into Minecraft and Lego now. Not every kids are into MLP anyway. But there are so many cartoons out there and so so so much easier to watch now than ten years ago when the only option was waiting it to air on tv.
Furthermore, you could say the same about adults too when they watch those videos about the scariest, creepiest, most terrifying of anything they have on YT. Your morbid curiosity push you to watch them and you regret bitterly afterward for that. I saw yesterday that there is one top 10 video about the scariest videos of YT. *sigh* They should seriously clean up more often and get rid of them.
I know, because I did. Something like Freakiest creepypastas, most haunted places, top ten kid murderer.... You got the idea. You feel you need to know for your own knowledge, but at the end... *snort* You could show them instead of horror movies on Halloween. And at the end, when they think it's all Hollywood magic and fake you tell them... there's none.

Personally I prefer the 'nice but angry/depressed' Pinkamena, not the psycho killer portrayal. Just my preference.

Well yeah, there have been a couple stories I liked treating her that way....but I heavily lean towards the nicer Pinkamnea portrayal. Evidenced by me writing multiple stories of her like that and being an admin of a fimfiction group called The Non-Evil Pinkamena
