The burst of ionic energy crackled from Lasher's fingertips and hit November square in the chest, throwing the woman across the room. She spun in the air and hit the wall hard, lightning spreading out across her slender form as she tumbled to the ground, taking chunks of drywall and rotting wallpaper with her, and as the sparks dissipated she spasmed a few times. That was easier than it should've been, Lasher thought to herself, taking a confident stride over to where the Mind mage lay.
November's eyes fluttered; still there was a burning pink glow beneath her eyelids. She still had control over her magic, but was apparently… not using it?
