The forehead and nose line's really sharp and creates a great contrast with your/who ever it is, face and the black (added?) background. I like it because of that sharpness, really cuts through the picture, like a sharp knife through paper.

This is a beautiful photograph. I really like this kind of less classical/more personnal perspective of a portrait. What kind of tool did you used to erease the background?

i used Magnetic lasso tool (Photoshop CS), and of course background was added. Actually, i'm not
not good in all these things at all, so i was quite nerveuos, awaiting for comments
that there're a lot of work to do, a lot of things to learn... anyway, thanks!

A good way to work with background is to pick the burn tool, set it up to shadows and start drawing over the background. I suggest here a small soft brush to work with to begin. This is how the pros do it
