Magic: Aside from dark magic Ra specializes in Shadow Manipulation. This is like Light Manipulation but instead of altering light Ra removes the presence of light to manipulate darkness. So far they can make a room darker or remove the light from a source to add to their own light. This skill can evolve into shadow illusions/invisibility and go all the way to shadow constructs.

Kind, Generous, Charitable, Intelligent: Ra is a good soul deep down, it's not hard for them to extend a helping hand where they can and they are very friendly in general. Ra is a people person and often clever in working through problems big or small
Observant, Chaotic: While Ra takes in their surroundings at all times it's hard for them to leave things untouched. They are all over the place, hard to keep focus, often picking up things for the hell of it. It's often they will break a few things in their method of trial and error to fix stuff.

Outspoken, Blunt, Scheming, Overworking: Ra doesn't know a lot of social norms of conversation, often saying things that just come to their mind without consideration of time and place. They are a bit too excited sometimes, a bit too eager to put their mind to work. They want to figure everything out all the time and this leaves them quite crunched for time.



History:
Tucked away from most well-traveled footpaths was a small village, traditional and family oriented to keep their way of life and survival as they lived off the land. Secularism filled the church of the town, it's Pastor preaching whatever would keep order among the people and they took his word as gospel. Holy intentions turned extreme in some cases but the community as a whole never batted an eye. Many kept to their ways in order to ensure they would always have their little clean perfect village and in many ways it was. There was a status quo to uphold and they all just fell into the routine of everyday life.

Off to the side of the village on a cliff overlooking a chaotic sea lived three women, all uniquely brought together under similar experiences. These three women were white witches, all lovers of different black witches who they could no longer be with. While the village knew these white witches lived on the outskirts many rumored about their lovers, perhaps dead, perhaps killed, guilty of a crime, or slept with another, they even rumored that these women went insane with their obsession over the dark arts... They stayed far away from the common people of the village to work as miracle healers. When village doctors failed and prayers were not being answered poor sick people would make the pilgrimage up the cliff to a small cottage house where they assumed holy women would do their best to cure them. There was never a person that stepped through their doors that they didn't try their hardest to save but as time went on their methods became more and more unconventional. It was a life of exclusion from a town of around 500 villagers but to the three witches it was their only home, these women bonded over their love and held onto their adoration for dark magic so when the opportunity came for a dark witch child to appear on their doorstep they jumped at the chance. They learned to have a good idea where the child came from but that was never important to them as much as raising the child with love.

They were to be named Ra, for the moon shone as brilliantly as the sun the night they were left. Ra was unfortunately born physically blind due to the circumstances of their birth but nevertheless, the women loved them all the same. They made sure to do their best to give them a healthy life, attempting to heal their sight as much as possible with their light magic. Despite the differences in their magic it was fate for the white witches to find fulfillment with the child, each of them knew how to at least guide the child in the right direction with their personal experiences with dark magic. Ra grew up in a gentle loving environment, learning to see despite their lacking vision and learning magic unconventionally. Ra was delegated to tending to livestock, caring for animals and bonding with them to ensure easier handling. While they worked music was their best friend, a source of comfort and ease as it was simpler to sense the emotional reaction music has on people, music was never deceitful in its melody.

In Ra’s life strange was the norm, they had to think around many problems and their mothers always taught that above all else remedy can be poison and poison can be remedy. While their mothers worked on healing the sick Ra was given people who were terminal to practice magic on. If the three skilled white witches could not help then there was little left in them and Ra was free to their own devices. These dying people would be Ra's first vessels. Ra attempted to help where they could, often easing pain and discomfort as the person passed on and preserving the body, but even after death Ra would use the little bit of life draining from the corpse to perform magic. With such limited tools, Ra became skilled in using everything they could to make the magic work for them. Word hardly spread to the village about these occasions of bodies mutilated by dark sigils, dead men kept secrets well and Ra and their mothers could live in the village dealing with discrimination and judgment at worst. As Ra grew to explore the village it became clear how much they would never fit into their standards. The village was too clean and formulaic, in his later teen years they often tried to sway him into starting a family like all the other healthy men of the village until they learned of their dark witch origins. They were revolted, previously assuming that they were the white witch offspring of one of the women. Soon the rumor mill turned into full discrimination, Ra and his mothers couldn't go anywhere or buy anything without rude glares and comments on how nasty and worse off they were. The women, previously respected on the grounds that at least they were white witches, we're forced to always brand themselves as impure when they walked in a public space, wearing large red capes with hoods, Ra was often taunted and mocked for their unconventional home life and had many things thrown their way with cries of Satan. The people listened to their pastor and his words that dark magic was the work of the devil, that God would never save anyone who was tainted in such a sin. To Ra, these sermons fell on deft ears, they were of good intent, a God that would judge on anything other than good works was not a God for Ra. They couldn't take it, they decided to spare their mothers the shame and leave. Perhaps in the sanctuary, their mothers always talked about they could find answers for themselves.

Poor vision- Ra was born physically blind in both eyes but uses magic to see as their mothers healed their eyes as much as possible. This disallows them to use most of the minimal spells witches can do without vessels because of the constant upkeep

Performer- owns an Aulos and a Lyre, Ra can play them both for hours at a time. They can play the Aulos continuously without breaking the note for at least 15 minutes

Musician- Plays many instruments but the percussion is their favorite. Anything can be a percussion.

Culinary- cooks really well, tends to cook the best when everything is homemade from scratch. Cannot cook quick instant meals successfully.

Cosmetics- Ra loves to paint and makeup spends a long time each morning doing their face.

Glows- emits a soft light from hair and eyes, typically casting a slight shadow over their face. This is a side effect of the magic used to heal them and the brightness is tied to their emotions.
