Ariel and Flounder from Disney's The Little Mermaid.Took about 10-12 hours to complete.
I'm very proud of the result.
I spent some extra time trying to integrate the characters into the background and paid attention to the lighting.
I had to create a few brushes to use for texture and decoration.

Your interpretation of the characters is perfect, keeping with the style of the originals by adding a slightly more realistic, unique touch to really make them your own. The detail you put in this is incredible- from Ariel's shells and tail to Flounder's fins! It also has so much movement in it with Ariel's flowing hair and the fish swimming in the background. I could go on for ages about this, but for your sake I'll stop here. 
So overall, it's a beautiful piece- you should be very proud!

I'm one of those niche artists who gets rarely any attention for a lot of effort
I wanted to mix Disney's style with a little of my own, to achieve a sort of semi-realism look. I'm glad I've managed to do that . This is one of the most complete works I've done, with all of its elements integrated to be one piece.
