The Stallion:
Name: Zeke
Meaning: Shooting Star
Breed: Pure Bacabello
Color: Silver Blue Dun Slate Bacabello
Age: 60
Powers: When he runs, he glows and kicks up stardust

Personality: Quiet, Wise, Likes to be alone (unless he‘s with family), Protective
Back-Story: Zeke has always been a horse of the night. He was born during a meteor shower, so his mother called his Zeke, or ‘Shooting Star.’ His silvery coat and incredible speed also make him look like a shooting star when he is galloping under the moon. Zeke travels only at night, moving from place to place, finding safe places to sleep and graze during the daylight hours. Always a loner, Zeke likes to spend time star gazing on the tops of high mountains, all alone, and when there is no moon to interrupt his view of the celestial bodies.

One night, he was galloping across open plains, covering some ground before he found a new place to settle for the next day. It was a New Moon; a night of light coming from only the stars. Zeke was leaving a streak of light where he ran. Suddenly, a flash of iridescent cobalt caught his eye. Zeke stopped in his tracks, his own light rushing around him and looked into a group of trees where the flash had come from. When the stardust he had kicked up settled, he slowly walked closer, head cocked, and ears pricked. Zeke’s nostrils widened and caught the scent of a Bacabella Mare. He pushed his head through a brush thicket and found himself nose-to-nose with a beautiful Bay Cobalt Bacabella. She giggled at his shocked expression and said, “I didn’t mean to spy on you, but you’re kind of hard to miss on a night like this.” Zeke sighed and butterflies zoomed around in his stomach…He was in love.

Name: Yiska
Pronunciation: yiss kuh
Meaning: The Night has past
Sex: Colt (male)
Color: Red Dun Rouge Bacabello
Powers: Can control when the moon rises and sets
Yiska was born at dawn, and his father named him Yiska because of the time of day he was born, and because Zeke’s life of being a star-wanderer ended , and Zeke now feels like the ‘Sun has risen on his life, filling it with beauty,’ now that he finally has a family of his own to take care of.
