Dude, she said no, several times, and more politely than most people would have! If you want some artwork by her, I'd suggest that you ask if you can commission her to do a special piece for you. This was done for a client, she CAN NOT give it to you, same as if she does a piece for you, she wouldn't give it to anyone else. You should really respect her work ethic and stop begging

I understand your point. He purchased his rights, I am not gonna use it for commercial purposes. I just need those two creatures. It would be cool, if you can send them to me (need high quality pics), just a present for my girlfriend for the Birthday. I don't think it's illegal.

lol, i'm sure... i'm currently dealing with a psycho woman who keeps bouncing between fonts. we've been at this for about a month, and my boss is sick of her. come to find out, she never opened any of the jpegs we sent her because she didn't know how.... -_- wtf... how in the world has she been sending us samples if she didn't know how to open a jpeg?! she must have had someone send them, but never thought to have anyone actually help her with replies from us...

Jeeeze, that's crazy!! lol How would she know if she didn't like the font if she can't see what you send?! That's ridiculous...she should have told you from the start that she's computer illiterate and will have to come in to the shop to approve any proofs you make up for her. *Shakes my head* It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round, hey? lol

oh, but good news! she's actually dragging her butt to the shop tomorrow. i mean how am i suppose to match up this wonderous "rich chocolate" color if our screen resolutions are totally different?

That IS good news! Most people I deal with have no earthly idea that screens have different resolutions and colours, no idea about the printing process or anything. It's so hard to explain when someone sends in a thumbnail sized jpg of their logo that it won't blow up to billboard size without totally pixellating, then trying to explain why it's going to cost them to have it redrawn/vectored so that it CAN be blown up that size...sometimes I'm ready to pull my hair out by the end of the day! lol

lol, i haven't dealt with anyone who didn't know there was a price for artwork. it seems everybody knows there's a fee for retouching and stuff. plus a fee for each screen used when printing on the shirts. it's hard getting them to annie up for more colors...especially when they're paying $20 per color. my evil salesman personality makes me put all the colors in

That's actually pretty cheap for screen set ups...I think my boss charges around $50 (Australian dollars) for a setup, but it's a one-time fee. But we don't do multi-colour in-house, we send those out as we're not really set up for more than one colour. We still get a good amount of one colour work though. I'd be putting all the colours I could in, too, letting them see how good it's going to look on a shirt

well I didn't mean a copyright issue for you so much as the people issuing the t-shirts. xD I'm sure they have more than the colors copyrighted.

i'm aware of copyright issues. ^^ my employer has also let me know that as long as 10-15% of a piece is changed, then there aren't complications. but again...in my case, i'm exhibiting it as "fan art"... i was employed to do what my boss's clients require. ^^ also, it's a church's project...a nonprofit organization. I'm not afraid of repercussions on my part because i personally have no need for this, the church does. i finally got to do a fun project at work, so i'm sharing the outcome. whatever happens to them, has nothing to do with me hun...i already told my boss that.
