this is ms love potion and her cat mr nine. they fly their wares around the world, seducing only the best customers with specific tastes. ms potion enjoys a little disaster and glitz when she mixes her love potions, and only the best crystal spider bottles will do to keep them fresh and ready for that special moment. may she grace your door step in your time of need.

nopes... i bring in brush patterns usually that i've munipulated in photoshop into illustrator.. my work is really all illustrator except for that process. ^^

Oh, nice! Wasn't sure. I always assumed you did vexel as well. Well I think vector, and Illustrator totally rock anyways! I love Illustrator. My favorite to work with. So more power to you!

well it gets soooo confusing with the terminology. some people say that if you have rastor items brought in even if it's in illustrator, then it's an automatic vexel.

Honestly, I didn't even know what vexel was until I joined DA. I didn't even hear of it in college. Basically from my understanding, vexel is an imitation of vexel. The only difference between the two is that vector maintains quality however ever big or small you make, where since vexel is rasterized, it would be pixelated if enlarged. All in all, it is awesome art! But I definitely think vector has more benefits obviously!
You do have items coming from photoshop, so what happens when you enlarge them in illustrator? But then you if you have a current version of Illustrator, there are definitely ways of making them vector as well. It gets complicated I guess.

well i usually make my patterns the size of my piece.. that way it's big enough to cover the space if i need it too. i usually use it for backgrounds or clothing, and make it into a mask to have the particular shape i want... i do from time to time, like in the yellow canary bring in layers from a psd or pdf.

I think that is a unique technique actually. That is probably why I think your vector art pieces look so unique. That is awesome. I also think it is awesome that you have both programs working together so nicely. Very neat! As far as terminology goes, well I don't think it matters. Stick to vector since majority is done in Illustrator. All in all, it is a digital illustration! ^___~ Also, keep up the great work too. I find it hard to work between Photoshop and Illustrator. Well no, depends on what I'm doing, but what you have going on seems challenging. I never tried, nor seen it though.

Oh I know what you mean about having them both open. I'll have to give it a try sometime. I really need to get illustrating again. I haven't done any really this summer. I find my inspiration comes a lot from fall and winter. Don't know why...maybe I'm too busy in the summer.

well i don't use the palette very often... if i need a color, i'll just grab the colors from my comp again. ^^

Ha ha, I don't either. It automatically pops up when I double click for colors. CS3 anyways. And then sometimes I forget to close it. I guess it takes up memory or processing, and then Illustrator quits on its own. blah.
