I just started reading this about 2 days ago, after reading GND by .
And I love it, and I'm totally hooked and I was genuinely distressed when I realized I got to the most recent update.Β
Furthermore, I have loved seeing your art develop from the beginning of this comic to now.Β
And I'm totally adding you to my watchlist after I finish typing this comment.
It should be mentioned I'm also a coward about commenting about anything on the internet, so I usually just fav and run, but I couldn't bring myself to do that here.Β
Also, reading this comic has consumed all the time I should have been spending on homework. And I'm totally fine with that, because time spent having fun is time that hasn't been wasted, yes?

That is Story. It is sort of the personification of fiction. And it decided to make things more interesting by using people to make events happen how it wanted.

But at the same time, Story made another error. Yes it's true that James doesn't have a successor nor regent to take over once he's done, but James isn't the true ruler. He's just a "babysitter" to the kingdom whereas the "ruler" is taking a "vacation." >.>;

Story it seems, is like a DM railroading a plot. Our heroes are the players rebelling. Also, bringing in Socks? The one Story decided to use as a sacrifice in the first place no doubt?Β

As a writer, I'd wrangle Story something fierce because I'm the one who gets to decide my characters' fates, not him. I've seen Story as the kind of character who went rogue on the one who wrote him.

Actually, as a writer, I don't always get to decide my characters' fates. Whether it's the story itself or the characters individually, sometimes they refuse to do what I want. Ever see the Twilight Zone episode "A World of His Own"? It's like that.

Yeah. Sometimes stories I write tend to get away from me but not often. The times it does is when I seem to get the most inspiration. Even when I'm RPing, plots tend to come to life on me.

James should KNOW better than this - he's military - war is one HUGE waste and not just the lives we know.Β Sacrifice sucks, but giving in to the remorse is worse. Besides, the kid chose for himself.Β And when it comes to regencies - there is ALWAYS someone to fill the void and sometimes it HAS to be a Sadaam or a Jarreth or perhaps even Sarah or a little boy with ruthless advisers - for a while.
Besides, we're talking fictional chars here.Β From books where some of them died but here they are.Β Who is to say junior up there is gone forever anyway?
