Description This is a supplemental diagram illustrating the symbols used to represent the 15 'elements' of the fictional world Pangaia - setting of my first story "Insignia of chaos".

This world is highly magical and there is a great number of people who are born with the ability to exert their will over a certain element, either creating or manipulating it. These people are known as transmuters and the story will focus on a group of them that have an adventure (more details on that at a later time).

In all, there are 15 elements - each corresponding to a specific race on the world. It was noted by early scholars that those born with the abilities of the transmuter have, somewhere on their body, a birthmark shaped like the insignia of the element that they will have control over.

These symbols are synonymous with the transmuters so people with them often show off their birthmark as a proclamation of their power. In many cases, people simply wear a pendant or accessory with the insignia on it, as showing off their birthmark might be a taboo due to it's location.......

The Insignia map shows a symbolic topography of Pangaia, representing the different nations and their elemental specialities. Here is a brief rundown of which races have which specialities (notes on each race can be found in my journal) :-

Fire - The Saurians
Water - The Lanians
Earth - The Uluru-kuri
Wood - The Cannene
Metal - The Nekoningen
Air - The Drasilkin
Energy - The Cybugs
Alchemy - The Gazaa
Property - The Caramellodetto
Dimension - The Undying
Aether - The Aeons
Spirit - The Ivivo Bambole
Light - The Celestials
Darkness - The Oblivions
Thought - The Goethenheim

More information on the world of Pangaia will be posted shortly.......

Hey dude, did you join the Gameloft team afterwards while still on DA? Cuz I'm pretty sure you inspired the game Dragon Mania Legends, mainly because Fire, Water, Earth, Metal, Energy and Light all appear as themselves but Wood, Air, Darkness and Dimension are there also as Wind, Plant, Shadow and Void.

Also, can I make this re-imagined, with Cold/Ice and Fairy (Fairy gives control over Animals.)

And Nice one

Could you elaborate?
I am very interested in this concept. I love cosmologies and fantasy.

Well, i'm not sure what in particular you want to know but :-

Basically a large magical world has been created by machine-like angels (the celestials) who have given an elemental domain to each of the races of the world (each race being an aspect of nature evolved to human levels).

The world surface has the main elements and there are three meta-elements off the world's surface. They are :-

light - element of the Celestials, source of all creation. The Celestials live in a vast mechanical kingdom that acts as a ceiling to Pangaia.

darkness - element of the Oblivions (like demons). Darkness represents decay and the end of magic. The Oblivion kingdom clings to the underside of Pangaia like a parasite.

thought - element of the Goetenheim, one of the most magically adept races. It represents synthesis and development of all the schools of magic. The Goethenheim were given a small flying kingdom with which they could govern the flow of magic in the world and develop their own skills in peace.

I must point out that the deviation that lists the races and elements has been changed a little and i do have a basic sketch of the world of Pangaia but i've yet to put it up.

I don't know if this helps but if there is something else you'd like to know, don't hesitate to ask and i'll be glad to help

Thank you The story is essentially in stone (well the macrocosmic story) but the details are yet to be confirmed. Still i'd rather have all the characters drawn at least once first because it makes it easier to show who does what in the story
