LOoks nice, but after HOMMIII I never really wanted to go back to HOMMII. I still love the art style and all that, but the game changed so much and for the better (like flying creatures not being overpowering, and the Wait option...)

For your interest, HoMM2 still has a chance. There is a fan project named Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Succession Wars which in fact aims to make HoMM2 a new life

I'd better dream that Ubi will NOT touch such a brilliant game as HoMM2 though, considering their recent HD Edition of H3 RoE.

Why? I love HOMM3HD. They even fixed some game balance issues (like Armageddon's Blade did) and the graphics are beautiful on a large screen, and otherwise it's the same game as it was so many years ago. I hate UBi otherwise, but I bough HOMM3HD because this is one endeavour of theirs that I support and a good idea. I think they did it because they too realize that HOMM6 sucked and 7 will suck even harder.

Well, I wouldn't call that beautiful. It's horrible, with a lot of mistakes, and looking like Ubi is simply collecting money.

Umm, no, the graphics are WAAAY better than the old game, played in the same resolution. You have to be visually challenged to say they are worse.
There were a few bugs at release, but they ironed them out. Even added the Armageddon's blade fix to Fortress's Lizardmen.
I still rather play that then HOMMVII. Played the beta for a few days, it is terrible.

No, they are NOT better and it is obvious. It's a cheap trash made by Ubisoft to cut some money from the dying franchise.
Automatic upscale algorithms, fucked up perspective, varied light source positions, cloned trees, varied upscale quality, ugly portraits with mistakes in facial expression, soap graphics all the way - it doesn't worth 15 euros, not even saying that it's RoE (bugs, no RMG, no expansions, crappy campaigns).
They even didn't fix the original graphic bugs and inconsistencies, upscaling them instead.
I recommend HotA+HD Mod. These people carefully treat the original game's inconsistencies, and they don't vie for money.

They did not just upscaled the sprites, they reworked them digitally, step-by-step. I have the HD edition, and I have that mod you mention, compared them and sorry, doesn't hold a candle to it. The HD edition is so much sharper, less blurry.
Ubisoft are cheap bastards for sure, and they could not be bothered to extract the code of Armaggedon's Blade, but the company they outsourced the sprite remastering did a good job.
I will not buy Heroes 7 though, that game is crap as it is.

HD Mod doesn't draw anything, it's algorithm upscale. But it's free, compatible with SoD and presents several useful features for gameplay.
HD Edition is a piece of crap made in several weeks to cut money, and you have been successfully fooled by Ubisoft. The sprites are sharper sometimes, but they have ruined lighting, sometimes perspective, there are simply copied trees ligthed from a completely different light source. If you try to look at creature faces, you will see. For example, the Cyclops.

Пока не знаю. Фанарт по героям скорее всего будет, на какой именно сложно сказать. Вообще, хотелось бы нарисовать все замки, хотя это маловероятно. Плюс есть некоторые идеи насчет пятой части от nwc. Но ко всем моим словам надо относится скептически.
