gonna try using my babie again but she's a different pokemon and i tried to make her more sparkly to look a little more ghost-like

The moment one first lays eyes on her, its very clear how unapproachable Miya is. Her face is almost always stuck in a glare. Milking any type of smile from her can be like pulling teeth from a lion, unless a snarky remark calls for it. The things she says generally reflects her expressions; equally as sharp and gloomy. She doesn't know any restraints with what she says and is as blunt as possible. Miya hates having to beat around the bush with anything and therefore will not do so. Don't ask her any questions unless you want to know an honest answer. Most things that she says tends to be either a threat, an insult, or a complaint. She has never been a very optimistic thinker. Despite all of this, she isn't particularly hateful of everyone. She's just a grouchy old lady.

On the brighter side to all of this, Miya has brains. She takes pride in her intelligence and it can show with her interests and line of work. She's more or less an introvert and likes her distance. She's more keen on sitting back and watching than throwing herself into any fun. She will die before she ever admits it but she does enjoy seeing the positive well-being of others and may go out of her way to help if it is needed. Even more so when she is around any friends. Naturally, Miya also has her mind and heart set to any work that she needs to do. This makes her pretty productive, but it isn't too hard for her to forget about herself from time to time.

History:
Miya's life began outside of the Sun Empire, though she was never completely new to it. Her parents traveled often to the Sun Empire for work and trade until a time came where they decided to settle there for a while. Miya had always been more of an introvert but had originally been much easier to get along with. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was very helpful. She liked to help bring in money for her working and growing family as she believed it helped that everyone was contributing to their overall health and wellness. Unbeknownst to her, unfortunately, wealth and sustainability was always some sort of issue between her parents. It wasn't hard for them because they weren't able to support themselves. It was difficult because her father was very impulsive, buying things that weren't needed and gambling whenever he had the means to do so in his hands.

This caused a disruption between Miya's parents and they often argued. This continued up until they ultimately separated. Miya stayed with her mother, since she had her younger brothers that needed to be taken care of which was fine with her. This began her distrustful nature but she was still open to recovery from it, until she realized that her mother was as much of a snake as her father. Miya worked hard to pick up where her father had dented and her mother noticed that. Miya believed that her parents had completely ended it for each other but it was a lie. Her mother was feeling sorry for her father so she was giving him all of the things that Miya was giving to her so that he could get back onto his feet. He was, of course, still using it to supply his ongoing impulsive habits. As soon as Miya had found out where her money was really going, she was very upset at her. She decided to this time be the one to separate from her family until she was sure that she was able to forgive her parents for being so foolish. She figured she needed to learn how to live on her own and support herself for a while anyway. For her brothers she was sure that her mother could support them well enough on her own since she wasn't using any of the things she was giving her at the time. Miya then began her settlement into Gale Spring.

Being in her mid teens at the time Miya found it a little difficult. She wasn't scared or anything, more so overwhelmed with how she could for sure start herself off the right way. She felt that she was always drawn to helping others despite how much she didn't like being around others, so she started following into the practice of being a healer. It made her happy to know that she was benefiting someone else in some way... only, that was the sole good thing she found about it. After a couple years passing, she realized that it wasn't that she was drawn to helping others. Miya just wanted to feel useful. Being with so many people and dealing with their accidents and illnesses was more annoying than anything. She wasn't enjoying herself like this, so she figured it was best to leave it and pursue something else.

Meeting people to, once again, begin an apprenticeship all over was a pain all in itself. Not to mention that it seemed so late to begin again. Luckily for her, her solution seemed to waltz right to her. She'd come across an interesting pachirisu, around the same age as her. His friendliness was enough to make her puke yet he was one quick to meet her seemingly short temper, which was enough to get a friendship going. Miya learned that he was still an apprentice, even at his age. On his way to being a scholar. From him she learned more about scholars and what exactly it is that they do. So much so that she figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a go herself. It would be a lot less disturbing than being a healer, she figured. Plus it would give her more time with her friend.

Starting off that apprenticeship, even though it was supposed to be just a little learning experience, grew longer. Time had passed and she, like she suspected she would, grew in love with studying. The more she traveled and went out to learn, the more she and her friend learned about each other. The two of them eventually grew closer realizing that their time together they would rather spend as one permanently. So far, as distrusting as she is to many, he has yet to wrong her and she has yet to grow bored or tired of being a scholar.

Currently, Miya and her own family spend their time in Gale Springs. She still makes trips to her home country every now and again to further her knowledge of both of the places that she calls home with hopes of passing what she knows on to others. She has still yet to make amends with her parents and still keeps to her less than friendly demeanor.
