Ummmm meaning eh? Hmmmm IN our life freedom is in the middle of what we are given and what we choose to do with it. With time loosing ourselves along the way and at the same time learning from what is lost to our gain. :l

I have no idea what it means but it was a little disturbing, she's got 6 fingers....that bit in itself jumps out at me and makes it hard to see anything else..lol ( I tend to get obsessed with little things)
For some reason it makes me feel cold, the girl is adorable though.
the key and apple I would think represent choices she will have to make. and the bird, although free has lost a part of itself.
As always though, it's beautiful work.

i love the colors in this peice, the red especally. the little girl loks like she is entering a world of wonder, she looks like shes having fun with the feather.

I love it's general composition. The red is very good and vibrant. The little girl reminds me "boo" from "monsters inc."
So... concerning the meaning... I think it's about freedom. In the first place, the (pigeon?) representing peace and freedom itself, at the center, kind of being the main entity. At the right we have the key, simbolyzing the wise choices and at the left the apple, standing for temptation and desire, the more impulsive and irracional (and many times wrong) decisions.

fantastic symbolism at work here. I would interpret this as the potential to choose between needs, the fruit that sustains us and wants, the key to indulgence. Finally, the dove hovers like purity upon the child's existence. I would say that but every english teacher I ever had told me that I was wrong at everything, so now I don't give a shit about interpretations.

It's impossible to be wrong at everything...and just because you didn't interpret it the way that your teacher did doesn't mean that you're wrong. The point of these paintings I'm doing is to inspire the viewer to want to interpret it, and read their own things into it. I think your interpretation is wonderful

i love the colors and composition of this! the background as a very flat quality (sort of surreal) and the foregraound is definitely 3-d...
to me i think of how children are always the best at noticing details and not thinking anything of them, accepting something the way it is, because it just is. and that is fact. we dont learn to be biased until someone teaches it t us.
