I can't honestly find what's so appealing about the books. Every female relative of mine who are of the age 13-25 term it as an oh-so-breahtaking piece of literature, which, in my opinion, is just a pretentious story of a mary-sue falling for a 108-year-old fairy. (yes, fairies because my version of vampires don't sparkle; they actually die when they're exposed to sunlight, or stakes, and live in dark, transylvanian dungeons and castles just getting along with their lives as ruthless bloodsuckers who are supposed to EAT their food not fall in love with it.) Oh, and did I mention it has a lot of unnecessary words just written to make it look professional? Because of that, the girls in my class are all like, "Look at me! I read books! Twilight is so beautiful, and the language is so perfect."
And when I ask them about Ernest Hemingway or P.G Wodehouse, they usually respond like this, "lol Who!? NERD."
That's what I hate most about Twilight. How the fans actually believe that Meyer's fantasy is a legit one, and that all vampire stories should be like that. 
The movies were considered one of the worst ever, by the way. And rightfully so. I didn't think I could stand any more of that 'Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson is so cute together!!!11' crap. UGH.

I fucking love you for this. I have this love-hate thing going on for twilight, enjoyed the books for the most part (the last one was so fucking creepy) and the vast majority of the fangirls are just NO.

It's true! Okay,I like Twilight but I don't read the books or watch the movies every single day :/ The rabid fangirls and all the media attention are what ruined the fandom. I am a sane Twilight fan though,and so are many of my friends thank God. We just talk about the series every now and then like we would a TV show you know?

I love Twilight and still do but I cant find anyone to talk to about it. Their either extreme haters who flame my artworks or insane fan girls who stalk every shiney vovo they see. The fandom needs more middle ground people. The drama with both extremes has made me like the series alittle less.

I read the books and seen the movies. I liked them and thought they were mindless fun (yeah don't ask). But all the die hard fans put me off. They all need to be admitted to a mental health facility with their OCDness. Yeesh! And they also need to stop bashing those who don't like Twilight. Same goes for the antis too!

The Twilight books were the first vampire books I ever read. I thought they were amazing... and then came the movie. I hated how they portrayed the characters and the series as a whole. And then the fangirls made it even worse. It pretty much ruined the vampire genre forever, because now the word "vampire" makes you think of Twilight so you either love it or hate it.
Have you ever read the book series Maximum Ride? Every page has action and fighting and adventure. Now they're making it into a movie. I was so excited... until I found out that they got the person who directed Twilight. They're probably going to turn a kick-ass series into a cheap romance. There are even rumors that they're going to use some of the Twilight cast! *wtfboom* I was pissed.

Same here. Even though i don't consider the vampires of Twilight REAL vampires, i liked the book. But i hate the fuckin fangirls who started claiming they love vampires all of a sudden n fought over Edward (who doesn't even exist!) n whined whenever someone said they didn't like it. I mean the fangirlsm was so bad that whenever they heard names that are found in Twilight they went insane.

Rob Pattinson is NOT that cute- OMFG! Yes! Someone who agrees with me! I also agree that fan-girls ruined the books for me. But I'm buying the rest of the books anyway, because I think its just wrong to have one or two books of a series and just not finishing it. I WAS about to start reading the books and even watch the movie, but the little, bloody, whiney, obsessive, shit-brained, insane, fan cunts ruined the book and the movie...

~i read somewhere that, before the movie was made, when people found out who they were casting for the role of Edward, fangirls had sent producers angry letters saying that there was NO WAY robert pattinson could play Edward because he wasn't cute enough or mysterious enouth or "sparkly" enought or this or that ... and now they completely love him!~
