Hello Everybody!

Here is my OOAK Deer Queen Bust, my second project working with fur. Again, another great learning project! For this one, I sculpted the head using Sculpey, carved the body out of floral foam, and then for the first time, I actually made patterns to contour the body with the fur. I hand glued bits of fur to the face and I originally wanted to do it realistically like the flow of fur on real deer, but then I realized how time consuming that was, so opted not to this time (I also was using really cheap craft fur and it's kind of difficult to work with). But I made everything on this project from the shirt to the hairdo to her crown, which I made with pieces from an old necklace. It was a pretty fun piece to work on! I hope to make bigger projects with even more fur one day!
