ANY AND ALL USE DOES NOT PERMIT THE REMOVAL, COVERING, HIDING, or MISREPRESENTATION OF MY SIGNATURE.

Unlike previous pieces, this piece comes with this disclaimer because I have found 2 of my drawings on a site called Etsy, both had the bottom portions cropped out to REMOVE my name.

First of all, this is quite a realistic German Shepherd painting.

What primarily sticks out is the tongue and the teeth. They look so real that the painting in this part might be taken for a photography. Furthermore, eyes and snout something "real" about them, too.

I like the mixed media background, but it has the same color patterns than the dog portrait, so the dog sticks not out. It rather is a bit distracting from the essential, the dog.

Extremely clever is the pattern in his fur in form of a French fleur de lys (lily flower). I do not know if that was intention or not. If it was, it had been a very creative idea.

Unfortunately, another disturbing thing is the blurriness of the dog's fur. It depends on the eye of the beholder, but when I look at it intensely for some time, I feel put down by a whirlpool.

Overall, this is a great and lively dog portrait. Keep up that good work.
