**CHAPTER 9**
Laying in bed, you couldn't take your eyes off the ring that was on your finger, it'd been 5 days already. You had your hand in the air, fingers spread as you twisted your hand back and forth. Everything seemed like it was going so fast, but you didn't care. You knew this is what you wanted and you hoped that this was truly what Kuroo wanted as well, but after his huge speech and how long it took him to let go of you while hugging, you'd be surprised if he didn't want it.
You sighed out and flopped over on your bed, pulling up your sheets and brought them under your chin. Tomorrow's the day, tomorrow you finally tell your friends and hope they don't kill you for holding off on them...

You were walking down the street with your hand in Kuroo's as you both headed to the cafe you were meeting everyone at. The first person you saw and heard... was Bokuto.
"Hey, hey, hey!!!" He yelled out as he waved you both down. "Long time no see Y/N!"
He ran up to you and pulled you into a hug. "Geez Ko, it's only been like 2 weeks." You chuckled out as you hugged him back.
"Well, considering I went from seeing you like 3 times a week to barely 2 a month, it's been too long!" He dramatically displayed as he rocked your shoulders back and forth, sighing exaggeratedly.
You shook your head as you continued laughing, he was such a drama queen sometimes but you loved it. "Hey, looks like the gangs all here." You heard a voice speak from behind you and you knew all too well who it was.
"Been a while too Namiko!" Bokuto went to rush her as well but she moved to the side and deflected his running.
"Well, I have been busy working at my dad's bakery." She shrugged and then went up to you, giving you a hug. "But ohhhhh, I've missed you!" She squealed out, unable to hold herself back.
"I've missed you too Nami!" You chirped back. "But I am pretty hungry so how about we go inside. I'm dying for some rice cakes." You whined out.
"Oh my god, yes. Me too!" Namiko copied you and you both hooked arms and went into the cafe, the boys following after you.
You all were sat down at a table near the back of the cafe which was fine for you, especially for the announcement you were going to make eventually. But first, you needed food in your stomach.
After telling the waitress what you all wanted, conversation fell easily among the four of you. Chat about Bokuto and Kuroo's college plan went around, shocking the other two with that fact that Kuroo was going for a few business courses. But what really shocked the group was how you said you weren't going to college. Namiko's jaw dropped and Bokuto looked at you confused.
"But, you were so keen about going, I thought?" Bokuto questioned.
"Yeah, well, I guess things just change. Plans change when certain... things pop up... Um.. so, Tetsurou and I kind of have some things to tell you both..." You paused and looked over at Kuroo, yet another time where you felt nervousness at announcing what was going on.
"Oya oya?" Bokuto chirped out, making you chuckle lightly, diffusing some of the nerves that were building up.
"Don't kill me though for not telling you sooner." You braced yourself.
"Bwaha, what are you, pregnant?" Bokuto joked around but your face told him otherwise. "Wait, what?"
"Eh, um..." You looked back and forth between the two of them. Namiko had an indescribable look on her face while Bokuto looked at you with eyes as wide as an owls. "So, um... 2 weeks before graduation, I was feeling... Well, weird. And I'd already missed my period by a few weeks..." You explained everything that has been going through your head. The stress, worry and nervousness with your upcoming graduation and everything in between. Announcing it to your parents, Kuroo's college and work plan and such.
"So... That explains the your behavior the last week's of school but not why you thought you had to keep it from me." There was a bit of distaste in her mouth but you couldn't blame her for getting mad about the secrecy.
"I'm sorry Nami, I just... It was so much at once and I just wanted to get through graduation and tell our parents and... It's not that I didn't trust you to not say anything, it's just... I don't know." You sighed out, a loss for words as you looked apologetically at your best friend.
"It's fine. I understand, just next time, know that I'm here no matter what and that you can tell me anything." Her hand reached across the table to squeeze yours. "Don't keep anything else from me. That's why I'm here."
Your eyes widened a bit and you tilted your head to the side and gave a small tense smile. "Sooo, we also have something else to say too." You paused watching how Namiko's eyes narrowed at you. "Uh, Te-"
"I asked her to marry me." Kuroo blurted out, earning big eyes from Bokuto who then in turn started to hoot and holler.
"Hey, hey, hey Kuroo! My man!" His long arm reached over the table and patted the black haired cat on the shoulder. "That's great bro!" His wide owl like eyes were beaming with excitement.
As they talked, you brought your eyes back over to Namiko. She was looking at you with an indescribable look but you could see her cracking underneath the surface. Her lip was twitching and you saw how her eyes seemed to pulse as they twitched as well. All of a sudden her demeanor cracked and she started squealing. "All right~ All right~ Let me see the ring!!!" And just like that the anger that she had from you not telling her completely dissipated.
You brought out your hand that you kept hidden so they wouldn't find out earlier and moved it over the table, showing off the ring that had itself wrapped on your finger.
"It's gorgeous! Where'd you get it?" Namiko's eyes shone as she admired the ring.
"It was my grandmother's. She'd given it to me when I told her about the baby and my plans for our future." Kuroo spoke out as he put his elbow up on the table and his head in his hand, watching the two of you act like middle school girls.
Your insides fluttered, as they always did when Kuroo mentioned 'the future' and your baby.
The waitress had come with your food and placed it down in front of whoever ordered it and you all dug in, conversation still flowing.
"So, seems your in need of a job if you're not doing school, so how about the bakery?" Namiko questioned out after she took a sip of her water.
"No, she doesn't need to work. I've got everything handled." Kuroo quickly spoke out, shaking his head.
"Tetsu, I need to do something." You chuckled out, taking his hand in yours. "It'll be fine. It's just a bakery, it's not like I'm going to work in some machine shop that has vats of acid everywhere. It's a bakery. The only thing you'll need to worry about is me eating the whole shop dry."
Namiko chuckled at that. "And I'll make sure she doesn't do that. It'll be light, easy jobs."
"Yeah!" You gave a nod at Nami's back up. "And besides, I don't want to sit around and waste away my days doing nothing." You batted your eyelashes at him, earning a sigh and a small smile.
"Fine. But I'm putting her care in your hands." Kuroo sent Nami a playful warning glare which she responded with a bow of her head, followed by a laugh.
"This'll be fun. I'm going to be an aunt!" Namiko swooned out dramatically while you just laughed it out, looking over both of your closest friends, happiness washing over you.
