Add some baked goods such as brownies, cupcakes and pastries and it could be an old 'Joe Muggs'. I know not everyone remembers or even knew about Joe Muggs. We had them here in Florida for years where you could go and get something to eat and coffee, tea, etc while browsing books. One of the larger books stores (Books-a-million) had a Joe Muggs inside the book store. They aren't in business anymore and some thought it was because kids would go into the store, get food and get all the books messed up with dirty fingerprints. Few wanted to buy a new book with food smeared all over it. It was a shame. Parents (some) just don't care to discipline their kids. Joe Muggs used to have Blondies. Like a Brownie but it was golden in color and had brown sugar in it instead of regular processed sugar.

Yeah, second shift can be a way to mess with our own body's natural clock. I worked third shift in a gas station for over four years (10 pm to 6 am) and that was over twenty years ago and I still do not sleep right. Even after all that time my internal clock is off center. They call this clock the "Circadian Rhythms" and scientists are still learning about them.

Yes. I learned the hard way that the human body NEEDS sunlight to be truly healthy. We need sunlight and if you are home during the day I recommend opening the curtains or blinds and just let the sun shine in. It boosts our metabolism and our mood. It's good for boosting our natural immune system. I have a Vitamin D deficiency and yet my Doctor told me to stay out of direct sunlight. I have to take a Vitamin D(3) supplement every day. I take 5,000 IU in the morning and another 5,000 IU at night before bed. Sunlight can kill germs and so letting it fill your home or room can make things cleaner believe it or not. Kills unpleasant smells too. And for my parents, the cat loves to curl up and sleep wherever she finds sunlight coming in the windows. LOL

I'm trying to think if I ever saw the Old Man out of uniform. The only time I can think of was liberty in Guam, where he was trying to talk the XO down from climbing up onto the giant plastic zebra outside a bar...

I like the furniture. Did you make it or find it?

Don't worry. That's not how I took it. You might just have inspired me to make some more furniture for my stuff.
