They don't judge you for who or what you are.They don't care about your race,what you look like,or what you do. If you love them, they will love you. Animals are more than companions, they are family. They will sacrifice their life for yours. They have endless love. Wild animals are beautiful as well, they were here before us so we should respect that. Without them, our earth would be much different. We wouldn't be here today. I have so much more to say...but to make things short...I love them. Humans will judge you, be rude to you,and make fun of you.I am not talking about all humans, I love my family and friends but people I've meant and a lot of people will do those things. Every person can't deny that they have done those things once in their lives.Besides, humans are technically animals. We are mammals in the primate family. Why do you think animals are lesser?

Yes, animals can be loyal family members and they provide us with the food we require in order to survive, but they are not our equals. They cannot think like us, nor resist their nature. Let me give you an example, if I'd been an animal born weaker than the rest of my siblings, my "loyal" mother would have certainly abandoned me for being the runt of the litter. Furthermore, animal hierarchies can be worse than that of humans. Alpha wolves treat the lesser wolves terribly.

Still, animals are not capable of performing procedures that save millions of human lives. We have medicine that extends our lives, animals do not because they are not intellectually capable of making it. Humanity can travel to the Moon, use the Internet, write wonderful stories, and voice our personal opinions while animals lack the capacity of doing so. Thus, they will never be my equals.

True, but they exist, and we use them. Even so, they don't stand at the same level as us. I've no problem with animal welfare. Again, you have to realize that animals do not function as we do and cannot be equal to us.

I'll put this in terms anyone can understand, we are primates who can show our kind love and offer assistance to the weak ones when they need it. Animals will never be capable of saving another animal's life with surgery, or fight the diseases which plague us. Ergo, they are not equal or superior to us primates.

We weren't always able to,it took humans many years, we were just like them. At the least, we are equal. Animals will care for their young even if they are weak. Just like humans, some will not be the best parents. We were never able to fight disease until recently. Who knows? Animals may be able to one day.

They're humans, not animals. There are so many handicapped people who have accomplished many wonderful feats because of their humanity, which is what makes them equal to us in spite of their disabilities.

We can call ourselves human on account of how different we are to animals. I know that we are primates, but we can control our animal instincts (although, it varies with each individual) and make progress.

If you were an animal right's activist, then you wouldn't want animals to be pets. The those raving A.R activists, they consider owning a pet as the human enslaving the animal. They think one should never eat meat. And an animal, if given the same rights as humans, would go to jail. Say, if a cat killed a mouse, that cat would go to jail. In the eyes of insane A.R activists, it is murder.
What you stated in your artist's comment is supporting animal welfare. Please, learn the difference.

I know this is an old stamp, but this is such an outragous lie I think the description needs updating. For example, in the UK 90% of cats are allowed to roam outdoors and the average life expectency is 15 years, and it's not uncommon for cats to live to their 20s. Also, wouldn't restricting a cat to an indoor-only life be taking away it's rights to exhibit it's natural instincts? This is something I don't understand about animal rights, it's very hypocritical in many ways.
