Description I apologize for the poor quality! This is a landscape of Skyrim, I had completed using acrylic paints.

Living in a place that looks like this, I find this refreshing and gorgeous. Also I showed this to my sister and she wont stop bugging me to play Skyrim now ;-;

What poor quality are you talking about? It's a great landscape painting and Skyrim is a beautiful country. I wonder how it would look if they lived in a Nirn equivalent of our modern world instead of the middle ages?

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim is by far one of those video games that I was awed by and still am! This was actually my very first acrylic painting, which, to this day I’m still shocked by. Thank you for referring to it as great! 😂❤️
I honestly never thought of that! It would really be interesting to see! But then I find myself awe struck by it so much. I like to think of myself as a Nord who is proud and in love with her country! I just recently went back and started a new game, just for fun, and I find myself looking at the scenery and thinking of doing a follow up to this piece! And I was reading an article today on an update for the next Elder Scrolls game and I hear things about it taking place in Black Marsh or Hammerfell and I keep telling myself I’ll try to be a different race to match the countries and then I’m stopping myself in my thoughts and am like, “No! You’re a Nord! A proud daughter of Skyrim!”.😂😂😂😂 Then I think, “Oh, jiminy cricket, Ashli! The game hasn’t even been released yet and most likely won’t be for years!”. 😂😂😂

I know right, it was a little ahead of it's time too in terms of graphics and gameplay for something released in 2009. I've been playing it since over the summer and I would say it's best feature is how you can free roam and discover new locations. I will admit the loot you get could have far more variety and different dungeons could be done in different styles instead of just having the same general look to them. I can't wait for a new Elder Scrolls game to see what they would improve on!

As much as I love fantasy medieval themes, they do get overdone and it's nice to see something different once in a while, like a more modern environment that uses magic to power technology and still has dragons, trolls, elves, orcs, and everything. Maybe everyone will figure out how to work the Dwemer inventions and Tamriel will be on it's way to being modern?

I wouldn't want to see a new game set in Black Marsh, even if it's tropical and different a game centered around Argonians doesn't sound appealing. Never liked them. I'm hoping for Hammerfell or Summerset Isles. By the way did you see a video called Expedition to Atmora? I'm wondering if that will be some kind of downloadable content?

The character I'm playing is a Redguard just because I preferred a human character and was trying to decide which starting abilities were best.

I agree, I think it was before it’s time and I also think some medieval games are overdone. I think Skyrim overall, is probably one of my favorite medieval games though. And it’s unique in where it takes place also, most medieval games do not take place in the cold and usually have a very similar environment all around, where as Skyrim, it doesn’t all look the same, each path you take looks unique to the last. I agree that dungeons were a bit of a downplay, especially since they could have been so much more unique with each aspect! The loot isn’t top notch and I wish they could have added some more but the game itself was so far ahead of its time, that I really feel it’s perfect where it’s at and leaves room for improvement. That’s why I was really interested in Elder Scrolls Online, which I also play, but I was crucially heartbroken by the elements. The gameplay is not nearly as good as Skyrim and overall, it looks like a MMO all around. The story also can not be your own because you’re sharing the experience with everyone where as I feel like in Skyrim each person has their own stuff going on and quests left incomplete or had a different emotional rollercoaster. The graphics were also lacking for me which was really disappointing. I thought they would have kept some of the grace of Skyrim, and they by far lost it in the production when they made an MMO also for console. There’s so much going on, you have to wait in line to kill that boss or someone walks in, throws in one hit and walks away and gets the experience for your kill. Dreadful. Hence why I’m looking forward to the next solo player Elder Scrolls. I, personally, would really like to see Black Marsh, strictly because it’s where the original assassins guild was formed, I can’t think of their name at the moment, but how awesome would it be to find that the guild wasn’t at all dead like it was said to be but so secretive no one knew about it?? Argonians are not my favorite characters, and too be honest, I’m more interested in Elswere (I think I spelled it correctly, lol), but if that’s what they’d give me, I’d take it. I also think it would be really neat to see a civilization that is not human based. But that’s my opinion, and I really enjoyed reading yours also! 😊

They all kind of have that Dungeons and Dragons concept to them, which is fine, but why can't there be more fantasy games based on other cultures? I'd love to see an Asian based fantasy RPG where the dragons are the eastern breed and non human creatures are based on their legends, because those countries also have their version of fairies, elves, demons, etc. like Europe does.

Each hold capital of Skyrim has it's differences, true, but the villages all look pretty much the same and when you've seen one Dwemer ruin or tomb you've seen most of them, with a few exceptions. (I liked Potema's catacombs and how they began as just a basement) Draugr enemies should be able to talk to you before they fight with you like the ghosts can, and why are the children that run around all human and not mer or beast races? I know the add on content has some diversity, I want to see Blackreach and the Forgotten Vale, those sound like unique places.

It would also be nice if NPC's could hold conversations with you like normal, not just the commands from the dialogue menu. Mjoll at least isn't so quiet, but she repeats the same stuff over and over. She's also my favorite follower. Games have come a ways since then, these days NPC's remember interactions with you and react accordingly so it sounds like there's more of an element of realism now.

The original assassin's guild is the Dark Brotherhood. I wish I could have done the Thieves Guild story, but I clicked the wrong dialogue option after the mission where you burn down those hay stacks at that manor and break into it, you know, when you have to talk to the leader of the guild, and I couldn't go on to talk to Maven Black Briar (ugh!) and it never went anywhere. A bummer since I wanted to get  that Nightingale armor.

There was a game set in Morrowind,  that's the home of the Dunmer, so not a human country. I've only ever played Skyrim so I'm new to the whole Elder Scrolls series to be honest. It would be nice to explore Akavir, the continent nobody from Tamriel lives on. An expdition there would make a great story. Or Summerset Isles and Pyandonea, an island you never hear about that is in fact inhabited by another type of mer. Those are more "exotic" places too.

I have been playing since with Mods to enhance looks and make things look different. Especially villages, the other day I added a Mod that adds thirteen villages and they're all unique and different. The original game itself, was very cut and not as elaborate as you would hope. Like you say about dungeons and villages looking the same, I completely agree, they really did. It's like in Thief, everytime you go through a small corner, there's the same log in your way that you have to move and you think to yourself, "Is it suppose to be like that? Did they seriously leave that stupid, unrealistic detail in there?". But then I think that, back in those days, most building and villages and burial ruins were mostly made of same materials and built in similar layouts and such. So from that point of view, I can see where they wouldn't want to stay off track with that historical detail because when you look at castles or holds from those time periods, they all basically did look the same until the victorian era. It does become tedious though, especially once you've played the game over and over because I can go through the dungeons now and know the exact layout and it does tend to get annoying. Especially, as you said, Dwemer ruins bother me! They almost always look the same, and almost always begin and end with a giant open space, and then the corridors are tiny and confusing because it all looks the same. I think the best Dwemer Ruin is "Blackreach"? I believe I'm thinking of the correct one, where you collect the odd nirn root and have to get the Elder Scroll. But it's one of those places you can only be for so long because they're no civilization aside from the Falmer and it gets pretty lonely and too be honest, claustrophobic. You just look up and see that darkness and remember you're so damn deep under Skyrim, it gives me chills.
I agree about the dialogue, it can become very frustrating and it's one of those things that remind you you're playing a game and take you out of your own little world in Skyrim. However, with Mods, they created Mods that characters actually have dialogue, will talk with you just in general (not in the odd, broken up, and making no sense way). They also created a Mod that makes Characters move and talk freely and openly to one another which is really neat because you can be sitting down having some mead after an adventure and hear a completely new conversation that you've never heard, and in five minutes, they won't repeat the same conversation but begin a new one. I believe the mod adds over  100,000 new dialogue. It's fantastic!
The original Nord Assasination Guild is The Dark Brotherhood. But in Black Marsh, one of the first Kings had a group of Assassins called The Shadowscales. If you speak with Vezarra, one of my favorite Dark Brotherhood Assassins, he will tell you he was born into a family of Shadowscales and when they died out, he reached out to Skyrim to find a new Assassins Guild and discovered "The Dark Brotherhood". Pretty interesting. I think, that's the only thing I would like to see in Black Marsh. If that's what they even decide to do with the next Elder Scrolls Online. I'm just hoping they step up and make it even more incredible than Skyrim was! And hopefully not as dippy as The Elder Scrolls Online. Yuck!

I just got done playing a little more this morning. I did Ragnvald and for a place that was once a city, it wasn't as grand as I expected. Nothing like Labrynthian and Otar was easy to deal with. But I guess it's a good thing when you can make short work of draugr deathlords and dragon priests right?

Dwemer ruins look cool, but they aren't all that exciting. The best one was in the quest for Grimsever where you at least could loot Falmer armor and I believe that's where I picked up a daedric sword. Come to think of it some of the best loot I've found has been in Dwemer ruins. Speaking of Dwemer, I want to know where they went and if they could come back to  the world in some altered state? Dwemer are the people who could make Tamriel advanced, but they could also be evil. Falmer would still be snow elves if not for them.

I'm not sure how you get these mods to use them. I just play the game as it is. What don't you like about Elder scrolls online? I've never played it of course, I don't play online and don't have the computer you'd need for it. I'm strictly a console gamer.

After torturing the Snow Elves, the Dwemer were destroyed by The Falmer (snow elves), they killed them for what they had done to them. Hence why they’re not seen in game. Though, I suppose they could twist it that some had escaped, which is somewhat likely. The dwarfs were intelligent, I do not think they wouldn’t have thought of a uprising at some point. I’m sure they have some sort of secret escape plan. It’s not like you ever see mountains of skeletons either, which is a bit odd?? The Mods are on the newly released Skyrim. I only play Xbox One, you can get Elder Scrolls Online for the console. It’s just not a nearly well designed or executed game like Skyrim. It’s fine as an Online MMO, as a interactive online console game, it’s crap.

Skyrim is by far one of my favorite places to explore! This piece isn't identical for copyright reasons, but I really tried to stay true to the atmosphere and landscape! It was also my first ever painting, so I was relatively proud of the piece! Thank you for your comment! <3
