"Jak - do you really? Like as in right now?"
His hand took to her shoulders and he whirled her around, smiling. She giggled, unable to contain herself.
"Just one picture-"
"One picture on a bad day Jak. Look at me, look at the garage! Do you really want to remember this face?" she squeaked pointing. Jak smirked, the energy behind those emerald green eyes was amazing. She was amazing and she was his to treasure.
"Yeah, I want you to remember how you feel now so you won't do this to me anymore. Now do you believe when I say this is embarrassing?"
She pouted, she had no retort. Jak turned around just as the floating hover camera came through the door.
"Hey, that's like the one I made in -"
He hushed her and smiled looking into the camera. Keira smirked, words she couldn't say lingered on her lips. She raised a finger as though to jab him. With her left foot she pushed away a box. Click! The camera's job was done...
Years later, a gruby wastelander held that same picture in his hands. His hand as though attempting to brush away a stray lock of her soft hair caressed the picture gently. She was amazing - she was his before this war.
