I love it how suddenly fighting against each other doesn't seem that important

Nearby Grunt: The Crimson Crow! All who see it never live to tell the tale!
Grizzled Beard: Then how have you even heard of it?

Many Warlords at the back wrote about a crimson crow suddenly appearing over the field and every time both sides of the field were all dead with not even one surviving. I bet someone connected the dots.

"Wait! wait, wait.... Is that a crow or an arrow?"

"Are you guys daft? It's a bloody Crimson Crow! She bleeds when somethin is a comin! Comin to eat out heads and consume our manhoods!"

"...Why is it pointin left?"

".....Does it want us to go left?"

"....What if we go right and avoid what's left?"

"... That's the best idea I heard all day."

Both armies had beer and merriment hours later.

I don't know that sounds like that is a good reason why everyone would stop fighting, and haul tail outta there.

yes, but doesn't the fact that the crow has already passed by mean that it's already too late? like, they'll die on the way back home or something?
EX: they all head out, agreeing to spare everyone's lives, and then a series of freak accidents occur that night. lightning hitting dozens of people out of a crowd, but only those returned from the war. a massive hail storm wipes out another two or three dozen, then a meteor takes out one side's castle, a fire dealing with any survivors from their army. a giant ogre decides to use the other kingdom as a convenient napping place for the night and his tossing and turning levels the place. AND FINALLY, one old soldier who lives in a rickety old shack in the dark forest, under a sheer cliff with lots of crumbling boulders, and knows to be a flooding hazard, this old man shambled home in a hard rain storm and when to bed, where he promptly bumped his head and didn't get up in the morning.
they even wrote a song about these strange occurrences, but over the hundreds of thousands of years, only one verse has survived to tell the tail.
