"Shit, I Hate when I get my Schwartz twisted!!!"Been watching Spaceballs alot lately so I thought I should do a Spaceballs pic.
Did halftone shading on this, gives it a cool comic book feel to it.

When I watched spaceballs when I was 11 or 12 I didn't get the jokes but then when I was like 14 I laughed at the part where dark helmet said "I'm surrounded by assholes"

I added a outer glow FX in photoshop

I put the saber onto it's own layer. Selected that layer, clicked the FX button underneath the layers window and then clicked outer glow. From there I played with the glow preferences till I got what I liked.

Not sure, I haven't used GIMP in months so I'm not sure.
You could use a really soft brush set to a low opacity to get the same glow effect.
