This is certainly an out of the box way of going about a poster.
I can get what you're going for here, but good luck to anyone who hasn't seen the movie.
Still, this is pretty eye catching.

Nice work.
But NO, this movie is not a fucking remake of the 1951 movie, they have very little in common as Carpenter's film is so different than the "original" that it's a remake in name only. It's a re-adaptation of John Campbell's 1938 novella "Who Goes There" and i consider the 1951 and 1982 movies to be 2 separate adaptations of the novella, the 1951 movie was a terrible terrible adaptation that barely resembled the short story and Carpenter's film is a standalone film that stays true to the novella

This so much. The 1951 movie was simply terrible. It had absolutely nothing in common with the short story, and Carpenter's movie meanwhile is a wonderful and faithful adaption to the novella/short story. It is a shame however that Campbell's work isn't too well known, it's definitely something that should be taught in schools.
