Description
"..or: How to become steady"Well....
There is not much about it to tell.
That´s Maron, the little friend of Pepiru, another of my characters that has just been born in my mind.
I completed Pepirus first impression here: [link]
I hope you guys will stay with me while drawing their story..even if it is...well...imperfect here and there. But I really wanna try to give this one my heart´s blood. Just help me to cheer me up when I start again too loose faith in my work.
Soon, I´ll update this file so come again to watch it.

My scanner kinda ate the blue-green shade and it became very dark...but still I like it. I wanted the watcher to kow how dark and farway the place my character is coming from is...that´s why she comes to visit Pepiru on the tiny little planet called Earth. XD

THIS is quite a beatuiful piece!
Shading is great! And now that I"ve really had a chance to study your work I can tell why the shading was done the way it was in Earthboy...
And I have to be nitpicky again...but I'm a little confused at how her dress works...It looks like it's just like a napkin draping off her legs because I don't see the other side of it...
Okay...now i'm not so sure...it looks like felt pens at some points...but watercolor at others...and even some coloured pencil at points...confuzzled >.<
but in a good way ^_^

I guess you figured out most parts of my colour use XD
That´s why 90% of my pictures are in the mixed media category. I like using alot of colours...and if there isn´t a good shade for it in my copics/watercolours I´ll need to use something diffrent XD

It's a great way to get interesting and different textures as well as get new and defining colors.
And if I may say so myself, quite a challenge, but you seem to have mastered the technique of blending them all together almost seamlessly. Quite a feat ^_~

Interessante Technik. Die vielen Wirbel und Punkte geben dem Bild etwas bewegtes. Die Haltung passt gut zum Hintergrundbild, sie sieht aus, als würde sie in der Schwerelosigkeit schweben. Die hellen Farben in denen die Person gehalten ist heben sie sehr schön von ihrer Umgebung ab.

Genau das hatte ich mir auch erhofft. Da sie ja sozusagen eine Sternschnuppe verkörpern soll, muss sie ja was leuchtendes, leichtes ansich haben, denn das käme ja als schwerer Brocken ganz schlecht XD

Lovely Choice of colors ! A really magical Picture
Mir gefallen neben den Farben, der schwebenden Pose und dem schönen ausdruckstarken Gesicht vor allem die ganzen Lichteffekte die das Bild so richtig zum Leuchten bringen.

Actually it´s a mix of diffrent gel pens, coloured pencils and copic makers....I did blend those materials to get a "close to watercolour effect"...because I think often just doing copics alone makes artworks loose depth.

I wanted her to have something "lighty" around her. I want her to be shiny, ´cause she´s as shooting star in my basic idea. Another thing is that "floating feeling"..because I just know how it feels to dive and how much your body drifts off then.

Ich hab dazu auch schon negatives Feedback bekommen. Eine andere Freundin sagte mir, das die Füße schon bei Pepiru eher wie "Klumpfüße" gewirkt hätten.
Aber ich hatte keine Lust das zu realistisch zu malen, also jeden Zeh einzeln XD
