Oh Herr ich genieße hier die Stille,
weiß es ist dein Wille,
hier und jetzt ruhig zu sein,
so tret ich nun in deine Gegenwart ein,
genieße diese stille Zeit,
weiß du bist nicht weit,
in dieser stillen Zeit komme ich zur Ruh,
merke herrlich, wunderbar und mächtig bist nur du,
darum bin ich gerne hier,
genieße diesen ruhigen Frieden bei dir,
entferne mich in Gedanken aus dieser stürmischen Welt,
schaffe Ruhe im Herzen, wo du dich hast hingestellt,
darum danke ich dir für die stille Zeit, die du mir schenkst,
und dass du alle meine Schritte heute und morgen in die Stille lenkst.
English:
Silence
Oh Lord I enjoy the silence,
I know it's your will,
to be quiet here and now,
so I enter your presence,
enjoy the quiet time,
because you're not far away,
in this quiet time I come to rest,
realize that only you are glorious, wonderful and mighty,
hat's why I like to/enjoy to be here,
enjoy this quiet piece "with you?",
in my mind I leave this turbulent world,
I make piece in my heart, were you are now,
that is why I thank you for the pieceful time that you're giving me,
and that you guide all my steps in the quiet, today and tomorrow.
