The shaman of course forsaw the call Sergio recieved from his ships in orbit around the planet the tower is located on. The demon hunters who were watching them had mobilized upon the arrival of a new fleet of ships----None other than the Church that Mirabelle belongs to. Having lost contact with her they made a move to prevent the Word of God as they call it from falling into the demonic hands of the DHT, right on time.

As for Mirabelle herself....well, remember Quel? On last report she had been sent to acquire a DNA sample from the Rathilix, where Mirabelle had been trapped, and the rest is history.
