Description Keh, I was a rookie at the time, and he caused quite a bit of mayhem when he infiltrated the Fortress, nyeh. Never encountered him, y'know, up close, otherwise I wouldn't be here to answer all your questions, nyah.

((This took a long time... Isn't that first panel beautiful, though? EDIT: Now the first panel is also a separate picture! You can see it without the black border here: ask-miniblin.deviantart.com/ar… ))

I LOVE the detail in your eyes Tanya... *my eyes turn pure gold* Look into my eyes, now you're getting sleepy.... are you hypnotized, by secrets that you're keeping? I know what you're keeping.

That leads to a question! Β What does a baby Miniblin look like?

Jeez your Squad Leader back then sounds really strict. If I was a Miniblin I wouldn't act careless in front of him unless I wanted to get punished for doing something stupid.

Kehehe, yeah, you wouldn't have wanted to get on his bad side, nyah... He was a good leader, nyeh. Can't say I enjoyed the chores or punishments, but lookin' back, he really knew how to keep rookies from doing anything that'd cause problems for other monsters or hurt themselves, nyeh. Rookies don't exactly always think things through, y'know.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PhantomHuntress In reply to Ask-Miniblin [2014-01-10 03:49:49 +0000 UTC]

That figures. Most Rookies tend to act like that nowadays. And don't worry you're not the only one who dislikes chores *grumbles at the mention of it*

Speaking of which, do you guys do anything in particular that lightens the mood when you're doing chores?

Ehh, sometimes we'd chat when we knew our leader wasn't nearby. Sometimes the other rookies would fool around, nyeh, though I didn't always mess around with 'em since I knew our leader would heap more work on whoever he caught slacking off, nyah.

That must've suck, especially for the ones that were fooling around. Mind you getting extra work means more pressure and stress then it will leave you flat-out tired at the end of the day.

Also what happened to your Squad Leader after you grew up? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, I'm just curious.

Oh dear, hopefully you didn't get stuck with scrubbing duty like your superior threatened with.

(OoC: Ooooooooooh, so cool! I especially like the glowing eyes bit! )

Ask-Miniblin In reply to Ask-Riniel [2014-01-10 01:52:26 +0000 UTC]

Keheh, I wasn't much of a whiner when I was a rookie; I didn't get on his nerves as much, nyeh, so I didn't get stuck with those kinds of tasks as often as some of the other rookies. He still made us all clean the big cauldron in the kitchen, though- not sure if that's better or worse than scrubbing the entire courtyard, di-dink...

((Thank you! And Miniblin eyes really do glow in Wind Waker HD. Then again, everything glows in WW HD... ))

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Ask-Riniel In reply to Ask-Miniblin [2014-01-11 01:05:15 +0000 UTC]

Well, both go through frequent usage, so I guess it would depend more on where you would clean it? I imagine that if a storm was brewing outside, it would make cleaning the courtyard rather hard, especially with all the debris coming up from under the water.

(OoC: Oooo...makes me wish I could play WW HD, even though I've already played it twice though.)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Ask-Miniblin In reply to Ask-Riniel [2014-01-13 07:47:51 +0000 UTC]

Keh, if it were just rain, then it'd be doing most of the work, washin' the courtyard... Though if it were a bad storm, then it'd be stupid for a Miniblin to be outside, since they could be blown away by the wind, nyeh.

((I've only played WW HD once, but I have the gamecube version and I've played that lots. ))

True, but what of the seaweed that might come up from below due to the storm currents?

(OoC: I've read they changed locations of some stuff in the HD version, like the Hero's Charm.)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Ask-Miniblin In reply to Ask-Riniel [2014-01-15 06:01:30 +0000 UTC]

Not a lot of seaweed gets tossed up onto the courtyard since, for one, it's raised above the water, nyeh, and for two, the Fortress's walls blocks a lot of the wind, so the waves don't get as choppy inside.

((Yep, and they made the Triforce Shard quest easier/faster by replacing half of the Triforce Charts with the shards themselves.))

Keheh, it can be pretty rough, though, nyeh. But be careful... Something about it is addicting, to an effect, nyah. Why d'ya think sailors and pirates can't get enough of it, even when it puts their lives in peril, with storms and sharks and fresh water shortages, nyeh?
