Personality
Alder is a Lumberwolf, a tree who's trunk was raked by a werewolf's blow and given life through its curse. Being so detached from others and society, Alder very gullible and can be easily fooled- which explains why he constantly gets captured by hunters. It terrifies him every time he is caught but no matter how many times he escapes, he always seems to fall for the old "rabbit in the rope loop" trap. Because of Alders gullible nature, he is easily swayed by others and is quick to become loyal to anyone who shows him kindness. It doesn't take much for him to follow you around, a dead rabbit or squirrel is really all it takes for him to see you as a best friend and protect you at all costs. A simple fellow, Alder spends his days in the forest playing with the other wildlife and foraging for food. He is very curious of anything new that stumbles into his home, sometimes disregarding the very obvious warning signals said things emit.
Things to know
-Understands a good bit of English, but has a limited vocabulary himself. His sentences are very simple and to the point
-The leaves on his tail and head change along with the seasons.
- Turns into a more beastly form on the full moon
-Is made entirely out of wood and leaves, the wood that makes up his claws is much tougher than the rest of his body.
-Loves to be scratched behind the ears
- Has a bad habit of stealing a trinket or two from travelers, he finds them interesting although he has no idea what the heck any of the things he steals are for. His collection ranges from coins to daggers, anything he can conceal in his massive paws are fair game so keep an eye out on your bags.

Also, I noticed that Alder's leaves change with the seasons so I thought that would be a good way to start out, sense Baize is in charge of helping leaves change colors for Autumn, If you'd like to start a different way that's fine with me. c; ))
It was finally that time of year, the time of year a certain woman felt that she had the spot light. This woman's name was Baize, and summer was coming to an end, leaving autumn to take over. Baize scouted the forest grounds, moonlight leading the way, for the first leaves to change for autumn. She always took her first batch of leaves very seriously, for they would be the first sign that autumn was on its way. "Now lets see...Too pointy...too small...too gross...hm?" As she was scanning leaves she noticed a rather large leaf swaying back and fourth, and it didn't seem to do so because of the wind. Grabbing hold of the large leaf out of curiosity, its color began to slowly change. She peeks over the large leaf to see the Lumberwolf attached to it. "Heh?" This left Baize shocked and confused.

At the end of that large leaf, a certain Lumberwolf was stuffing himself with a hoard of berries that he 'stumbled' upon. He felt guilty, knowing it very well belonged to one of his critter friends but he was starving and it was either that or them. As he ate, he felt something grab one of his leafy tails. He quickly turned to see what it was, perhaps it got caught in a branch or a squirrel wanted to play. He certainly didn't expect a person.
He felt what could be only described as a mixture of fear ,excitement and guilt. People didn't usually come to this part of the forest and it could be a chance to make a new playmate. On the other hand, whatever it was held onto his tail and he had no way to tell if they had evil intentions. And then to top it all off....they smelled delicious.
Alder let out a small whine as he tried to get as far away from her as possible without tugging on his tail too hard, it was only now that he realized his leaves were changing color and that only added panic to the situation.

Baize noticed his panic and let go of her tail quickly, waving hands frantically "No no don't be scared, it's okay." she still a little surprised that she had found a Lumberwolf, even more so that she changed its leaves colors. This was the first time she'd changed the colors of a person or animal that was plant based.
"I'm not going to hurt you." she gave the Lumberwolf a smile to try to calm him down. "This is my job, see?" she set two hands on a tree next to her and the colors of leaves changed, some of them falling down slowly.
"I don't think I really could hurt you, that's all I can do." she added.

He stayed silent as he examined his tail, swishing the giant leaves reassured him. He didn't feel any pain and the only thing that was different was the color change from the tip all the way down to the middle on one of the leaves. Alder looked up at her and nodded, she was just working...but how come he's never seen her before? Knowing she didn't mean any harm, he body quickly relaxed. Without warning he suddenly jolted up from his four legged stance and stuck his claws onto a nearby tree for balance. His legs shook and he felt like he might collapse but it felt only right to mimic how she stood. With a whine he motioned to his tail, normally his leaves changed a bit later but he felt he shouldn't get in the way of her work.

Molly ran into the dark forest her eyes wide as they reared up. She was terrified of the dark but hunters we're after her and she had no where left to run. She ran and ran but dog barking could be heard in the distance. They were catching up to her even though she.was incredibly quick. suddenly she tripped not seeing the log in her path, and cringed as she twisted her ankle." Oh no this isn't good.....they'll catch me for sure...."
