I just wonder how they decide what items are more valuable then others in their game, considering they live in such a remote place and probably don't know what half the stuff they have is. Like if one of them has a bar of gold and the other has a recently lost mp3 player that still works which would win? The bar of gold for its size and shininess, cause I doubt they know or care about its monetary worth,Β or the still functioning music player for its ability to play music and entertain them?))

Honestly, it all comes down to what it can do and what it looks like. You're 100% spot on how they judge something, like if they had to battle Alder's hairpin and a diamond, the hairpin would win just because they can wear it and because the flower on it is prettier. ))
