The details in the fur and the snow really bring out this picture. Awesome! Keep up the good work!

((Thank you so much! I'm glad that you like the snow, because I thought I failed and spent an unnecessary time on it... hehe...))

((Thank you very much!
That is a great suggestion. Maybe next time I draw the aurora I can do that. It's really hard to draw the aurora... I never am able to make it look right when I draw them.))

((I know! Mine looks so drab. I cannot make it glow enough...
If we try. XD I don't know about you, but I give up really easily. Especially with art. XD))

awesome. you did a really great job with the details and his fabrics and the fur!! the only thing iwould say is the wings on the wolf looks a bit strange, i think you might need to check the perspective on that one (the right wing looks like it's on his left shoulder, his left wing is on his neck..... ^^") other than that, i think you did a great job with all the textures! the snow looks really real....haha good job ^_^

LOL okay in that case, totally my mistake XD i thought that the curved top part of it was a completely separate wing, haha sorry for being confused ^^"

((The thing is that the picture you sent me was of a pigeon wing, and I modeled this off a spread out eagle wing. During an eagle's flight the alula is spread out. Also, I don't see why it could be mislead as another wing... but maybe it is because I am stupid, that's all. ^^))

ah okay. (LOL yeah, sorry about the pigeon wing...i literally just googled "bird wing anatomy" and picked the first one that looked suitable ._.)
yes that makes sense. i still feel like the angle is just a *little* bit off? but really, its a moot point, and i'm sorry for nit picking XD
I probably mistook it the first time because of the different angle, and i didn't look at it closely enough so i just assumed they were two tiny little (anatomically incorrect but still interesting looking) wings, and You probably can't tell what i'm talking about because (you're not stupid!!!) you definitely spent so much time and effort on it, so you know exactly what it is. anyways/ sorry again ^^" XD

Very beautiful work!
For Aurora Borealis, I use gaussian and vertical motion blurs.
But I think there are other methods.

((Thank you!
Oh, I see, thanks for the advice! I should try that out one day.
For art, there are so many other methods to do one thing, but there are better ones and worse ones, of course.))

You're welcome!
And for doing Aurora, I use another layer, and several colors. I apply blurs a few times.
Just the airbrush with quite soft pressure should give a good result too. I should try.

Oh okay.
I don't know what is smudge lol (English is not my native language).
You can try with opacity of the layer. And maybe duplicate the layer and move one a bit.

((Smudging is kind of like blending the colours. You know when you use your finger to blend colours together? (What was your native language?)
Hm... maybe that will work too. I'll try.))
