It’s cold outside! The dead of winter has set in and the Grove is quiet. But just as you get ready to hibernate the snow away, you notice a pair of beady eyes staring at you… and then another, and another. They’re… socks? But alive? And they’re everywhere!!

Violi could barely contain herself as she caught sight of them again. Diving behind an area of short rock as Creature followed - still unaware of what was happening.
The sock guys.
The little purple rat may have never gotten to experience life at the cove herself - of her group she was one of the last to hatch after all and by that time they had reached the grove. BUT! That didn’t mean those who had hatched earlier hadn’t told her about things. One of those folk being Creature and one of those things being the mysterious thing he saw and could never explain. It was his earliest memory. Swimming to the top of the starlight pool - thinking he saw a shadow of a caretaker over the edge - however coming face to face with something strange instead. Something he’d just been calling… “the sock guy”.
He’d almost managed to convince himself that he was just misremembering something… but now? Seeing them again with his own two eyes? With the sheer amount of positive energy was palpable. His little back claws tapping against the stone, his entire body wiggling.
They were real! THEY WERE REAL!
