I'm curious. When you put together one of these striking portraits do you dream up the entire composition in your head first and then go about putting together the look and finding a proper setting with the desired color palette and lighting to shoot in or do you find the seed for your inspiration externally and work from there?
For instance did you find this beautiful winter stream and decide that you liked the natural wintry color palette and wished to base a portrait on this theme or did you start with a preexisting idea of the sort of statement you wanted to make with these colors and then go looking for a proper setting to match what you had in mind?
The reds and blues in this portrait contrast beautifully.
