During Junior High School, Sally was a dreamer, often found starring out the window of her classroom and day dreaming. As such her school grades were considerably poor. She had braces and glasses, because she had a bad case of overbite, and could not see clearly, as she was nearsighted. She also lacked any kind of conviction or ambition.

After moving to the Demitrius Academy Dorms to go to highschool, Sally gained a stronger sense of independence and became focused on getting into Homediem University herself to graduate and become a writer.

However, her studies resulted in a decline in her social activities as well as damaging her eyesight to such a degree that, when not using contacts, she had to wear glasses with thick lenses in order to see clearly.

Short-tempered and quick to judge (particularly when Sonic is involved), Sally was the first and most insistent to protest the idea of having Sonic as the only boy in her class of twenty-four girls. Her frequent and eventually predictable response to anything Sonic may do to irritate her was to physically beat him senseless, usually sending him flying into the stratosphere with what the dormitory residents dub "the Sally Punch".

She came to the school with no magical experience or background at all...until one day, Bunnie was walking from school, not looking where she was going, and walked off a cliff. Then, Sonic used his magic to freeze her in place and zoom down to catch her before she hit the ground and was harmed. Sally was a witness, and threatened to tell his secret of being a wizard to normal students if he upset her by doing something stupid.

When Sonic was attacked by many demons who'd broken through the magical barrier of the school somehow, and was getting beaten badly...He had to form a Temporary Pact with Sally, which was his first one ever. Sally was hesitant at first, but allowed him to kiss her and seal the pact. During their pact, Sally obtained her wand, and picked up on some of Sonic's knowledge of magic, and then began to learn about basic spells and magic independently at the academy.

When Sonic was drafted by the Magical Forces to fight in the Great War, and had to leave behind Sally and their friends...Sally realized just how much she cared for the hedgehog. Unfortunately, when he came back, having defeated the Dark Master single-handedly, Blaze and many of the other girls from her class decided to pursue him for his affections as well, as many of which had magical background, and wanted him to be their partner, and make a permanent pact with him to enhance their magic abilities after seeing how strong he really was.

However, in the end they all bow out to let Sally and Sonic be together. Sonic told Sally he loved her, to whom she admitted the same as well. They shared a kiss and began to awkwardly make out In front of everyone. |D

The pair got married happily a week later...forming their permanent pact in the process.

About year later, They had a son, Kenneth the Hedgehog. Sonic disappeared shortly after his son was born.

Based on her personality, Cream's character is mostly identical to Sally. Cream and Sally are similar: both are or can be violent, short-tempered girls with limited patience towards the main male lead yet show a care and trust that grows as the story progresses...and eventually fall for them.

When she was younger, she often wore thick glasses, sweaters, and braids when going to cram school to deter attention from guys, whom she classified as pointless distractions.
